Question: How was the audience? Old, young, mixed, die hard Jackie fans, new fans. Where there stnadining ovations? All of the above, although definitely leaning old(-er than me, and I'm low 60's; although there were a good number of unfamiliar faces in the 40-50 range). A few of the very regulars, but the guy on one side of me had only been to one previous Jackie concert some years back (distance a deciding factor? didn't ask). Listening to talk during intermission, some had driven from 5 to 8 hours away. Even the non-regulars seemed to have some idea what to expect. There were a few college kids, even a few local high school kids (might be music geeks for all I know). I'd say somewhat more female than male across all ages, although not hugely so (definitely not as much as 2:1). There was some standing o's at least by the bulk of the front rows, but most regulars seem to think they've overdone that in the past, and I suspect some of the folks can't handle the up an down so easily anymore :-) Definitely the audience was appreciative, though; and those who more or less knew what all her last couple years have been like were likely sympathetic. I'd say that even among those who have seen her just once before, there was some pent-up demand. When I said that seeing her again after two years felt like a recharge, someone agreed with me.

Concert Review: Jackie's voice was stronger tonight than I've heard before in concert. Her nerves got to her a few times, but nothing significant, flubbed a word here or there and she either smiled or on one occasion, her eyes got wide but only for spilt second, than right back on track. Also, her timing seemed to be a bit off on a few songs, but I could be wrong. Jackie did hit some amazing high notes that blew me away on a few songs, especially The Prayer, Somewhere and Believe. Best I've heard to date. Jackie was beautiful but thinner than I've seen her. She appeared healthy and had a bright engaging smile. She moved about the stage and was very animated during her songs. Jackie thanked everyone for attending her first concert back, "two years is too long" she said. Jackie said it was nice that her first concert back was a Christmas Concert, and that she was nervous, but that's just human. She was also more emotional during some of the song introductions than I've witnessed before. During the intro to How Great Thou Art, Jackie seemed to choke back a tear and her voice broke slightly. Jackie also thanked her little sister Rachel for being there for moral support. I saw Mike a few times on the side of the stage, but not Rachel. Jackie's first dress was a beautiful a maroon velvet off the shoulder evening gown, but was a bit clingy. The second set dress was a translucent white full length dress, with a low cut front. Beneath she was appeared to wearing a dark yellow jumper. I didn't care for it, but my wife loved it. My only complaint was the house mix was too loud throughout the show, and during a few songs, Somewhere especially, the backing track was much too loud drowning out Jackie's voice. Reverb was a little much on a few songs also. Set list: 1. Silver Bells 2. Christmas Waltz 3. I'll be Home for Christmas 4. Phantom of the Opera Melody - Music of the Night - Point of no Return - All I want from you 5. River 6. She Used to be Mine 7. Merry Christmas Darling 8. The Prayer - Christmas Song Instrumental Interlude
9. The Christmas Song 10. How Great Thou Art Intermission 11. Misty 12. Silent Night 13. Burn 14. Believe 15. Once Upon a December 16. Somewhere - Another Christmas and Wizard of the Oz Instrumental Interlude 17. Somewhere Over the Rainbow 18. White Christmas 19. The Impossible Dream (Dedicated to her fans; Final Song) 20. O Mio Babbino Caro/Nessun Dorma Mashup (Encore 1) 21. Oh Holy Night (Encore 2) I would be surprised if Jackie wore more than one pair of panties under the dress. It was very rare that Jackie wore more than one dress, panties and a pair of shoes. That's all she needs. Beautiful dress that shows nothing but gives a lot to guess. It is also nice that Rick158's wife likes it. The fact that Jackie has replaced "i'm not that Girl" with "River" is logical because both songs have certain similarities and both in combination with "she used to be mine" form an overall statement. It would be nice to hear a recording of River, since on Jackie's version some of the original lyrics were not sung, I would be interested to know if Jackie sings this part live.

There appears to be an under layer of flesh tone opaque fabric that's roughly a pair of baggy shorts but coming up to the top of the waist band - as judging from the wrinkles that run perpendicular or diagonal to the draping of the outside layer. The top is less transparent than it looks, and/or accompanied by flesh-tone pasties. It would take a number of photos at different angles to figure out just how it's made.
There are lots of things that can be done to make something look risqué but not really be risky at all, especially when they're not only custom fitted but color matched to the person's skin tone.
I'd say that probably Christina plus whoever makes those is doing their darnedest to convince Jackie that she has ZERO actual cause to have any lack of confidence about her appearance - to, while not actually shocking anyone (well, anyone not inordinately fragile), not hide her light under a bushel as it were, either. That's a somewhat fine line to walk, but so far, I think it's been carefully done.

The reviews from rick158 and rlhamil are exemplary!! Not quite like being there, but a close second! From what I gather from these reviews, Jackie is thinner, animated, seems comfortable on stage, and her voice is stronger, and her high notes are just as awesome!
Which songs were awarded the S/O's?
Her nervousness is to be expected after 2 years absence and her recovery from some note failures and forgotten lyrics is an indication that she has kept her stage presence intact!
I'm curious how the audience responded to the conclusion of each song: Was the applause loud and energetic, or just so-so?
Again, a hearty THANK YOU for allowing us to almost be there!!

Your comments about Jackie being thinner and she skinny are not being helpful to her recovery.

Your comments about Jackie being thinner and she skinny are not being helpful to her recovery. Your comments on this issue are misplaced. I would agree with you if this was posted on her social media or in a place where we know she reads. She definitely doesn't read these boards, and concerned Jackie fans are going to be watching and discussing how healthy she looks A LOT! Stop tryng to sweep the issue under the rug and pretend like it doesn't exist. That's not going to happen. I would agree that nobody should talk about her weight anywhere where Jackie frequents...absolutely not!

Your comments about Jackie being thinner and she skinny are not being helpful to her recovery. Jackie said "some commented that I "didn't look like I had anorexia" which made it even worse". You can count jackies ripping and she doesn't look really healthy, her problem hasn't gone away and it will take some time. I don't think it would be good to tell her she looks normal.

Jackie is now well above the level she had as a child. this is very demanding singing, controlled, versatile and dynamic. Emotional and emotional at the same time.
