I just noticed that my copy of SAC has the chipmunk song on it so I have sent for a replacement. I guess I didn't listen closely enough when I got it.

Another great find schrodinger. The review is very positive, pretty much a rave. The reviewer links to a review of Peter Hollens' new Christmas album, which is also very positive. The reviewer says Jackie's album is displayed right next to Michael Bublé's at their local HMV store in the UK, surely a good sign. With SAC & 2H's, Jackie really does seem to be maturing as an artist. We'll see what happens. I remember when Jackie's naysayers said her voice would *definitely* be ruined by age 15, & when they absolutely insisted she'd have a short career. Hmm...

Yes, this reviewer gets it. Obviously listened well and understands what Jackie was doing with each song. The old favorite, OHN, is IMO the most elegant track on the album. It was the only Christmas song that got standing ovations at the Thanksgiving weekend concerts.

I've never been a big fan of the holidays, not since about age seven. Over the years I've been able to avoid the mass hysteria for the most part and keep my own little traditions. Strictly low-key. But Jackie has opened up a space for me to enjoy the holidays in a bigger way, without being tossed to and fro. I swore I would NEVER travel over Thanksgiving, especially not fly. That's just crazy. Then, in 2013 I bought a ticket for Jackie's Portland concert in November. I sent an email to my boss, asking for a couple days off. He shouted out of his office, "Hey, you don't need to ask for those days off. It's Thanksgiving!". Well, I guess the curmudgeon is going to be a holiday traveler, after all. Traveled over Thanksgiving again this year, because of Jackie, of course. And get this. On Black Friday I was on Broad Street in Red Bank...shopping! Most years I'm in bed with the covers pulled over my head on that day. I don't listen to too much Christmas music, either. But this year...c'mon. Someday At Christmas is a great album, period. I rode with Len from Red Bank to Troy and from Troy to Providence and we listened to SAC nearly the whole time, with a couple breaks for PTAD and Awakening. I had to work Saturday and I brought SAC to listen to while I did some repetitive tasks.
That being said, a leopard doesn't change its spots. I was elated when I got the news by email this afternoon. Secret Santa has been cancelled! YIPPEE!

I noticed that Italian dude on the end next to her was hugging her a lot and giving her the eye. Watch out for those hot Italians, Jackie. Let him know he has to wait a year and three months. You having been to Italy is a plus. It had better be more than a year and three months or Mike and Lisa would have a fit. LOL But you are right about the Italian men.

What I find interesting are the sales counts.
