Has Jackie or the team said when the physical move will happen? I can't bring any such announcement to mind.
Perhaps Jackie will not be moving until April. In the meanwhile she has a base in NYC the cost of which would be somewhat offset by not needing to rent hotel rooms when she has business in The City. She has been there a lot recently iirc.
Juliet could move there now without complications and hold down the fort.
I read that Juliet has, or will be taking a position with a gay civil rights group (LAMBDA, which funded her lawsuit with the school board) while she pursues modeling opportunities. Anyone have more solid info on that? Perhaps that position is headquartered in NYC.

Food for thought. #1 Jackie at 11 after 2 albums was worth an estimated 2 m. Now after 5 more albums and over a hundred concerts, a movie and numerous personal performances, don't you think she can afford this move? #2 She said just last night that she bought an apartment in NY and earlier in the week at an interview she said she and her sister were having fun shopping for furniture. #3 In most states you can go before a judge and prove you can earn a living and have the ability to take care of yourself and be declared an emancipated minor. For most legal purposes you can make your own decisions after that. # At her last two concerts Jackie dedicated a song to her sister. No mention was made of Lisa or Mike.

I concur with your 4 point "food for thought", however I'm not so sure that #3 would be as simple as you make it sound. To declare Jackie an emancipated minor may very well render current contracts void and I cannot see Sony, Jackie's agent and any others having contracts/agreements with the Jackie Evancho business simply accepting a judges ruling and walking away. I would imagine that an appeal would be immediately be launched if not law suits for breach of contract. Of course a judge considering emancipation of a minor might view that Jackie could not earn a living without the current contracts therefore she would be obliged to see them through until she is 18.

It didn't strike me as terribly strange for Jackie to be moving out before reaching majority. I did it at 16- got a restaurant job in a mountain town, seedy housing included. But I did move into my aunt's basement to finish HS, and she fed me, bless her. The summer job before college was the worst, but I got my room in the CU student zone on my own. Jackie's adventure will be more deluxe. There being no evidence of it, I doubt there is any rift in the family. Mike was with her in LA. It seems to me, she now has two bases of operations, each valuable in their ways, which she can use as she sees fit. No doubt she will be in NY a lot for the immediate future, what fun, but as time goes on she might find being back at the "country" home has its attractions too. Pool! I do worry a bit about her NY location becoming generally known.

Bottom line, don't walk alone... especially at night.

Bottom line, don't walk alone... especially at night. There might even be a doorman. There was one at my brother's place on E. 40th street, and he was not going to let me in until bro. came down and introduced me. The place had an underground garage, too, but he had to give a day's notice for them to get his car out. Must have been packed in there. NY is actually less scary at night than a lot of cities, because there's so many people on the street at all hours. If you stay in the more civilized areas.

It is not as hard as you seem to think. One of my Grand sons had himself declared an emancipated minor at 16 and his mother did before him at 17.

Gordie brings an interesting legal point to the conversation. How would emancipation affect contracts currently in force. My guess is most minors who have themselves emancipated do not have complex legal contracts at the time of emancipation. It may already be well covered in case law.

Does anyone can tell me how to find "the filming of Growing Up Evancho," Or the show itself ?
As for Jackie moving out, That could mean Mike would have to go back to work. BUT, Mike is very smart, and i'm sure he has his bases covered. Lisa is most likely to blow a gasket. I always figured 'one day' Jackie would say "hay, I support You". Myself, as a retired teacher, want to see all the kids go to collage.

"All the broadway shows I have seen have the performers with headset microphones..." jmemcb
I was quite upset when Jackie stopped using head mics, reason being Lisa said stand mics gave better sound quality which I thought was wrong. Even if Jackie doesn't make it on Broadway(she doesn't have that kind of voice), I hope she starts using head mics more often. They're just as good if not better than stand mics.

"...Lisa's comment saying f them to the fans might have been the straw that broke the camels back..." johnnyb
I was shocked and angered when I saw that on the video. What a crass, low-class thing to say.
