Excerpt from Jackie's WDTN Dayton interview in answer to "What are you working on now?" "I'm working on a another album. It's going to be really exciting and something I haven't done before, as I love to do. I'm really excited to see how it all turns out." Apparently Jackie is still experimenting while hopefully maintaining CC as her foundation. I'm anxious to see what she surprises us with this time. Her versatility is fascinating and I have not been disappointed with her adventurous exploration, testing her boundaries and exercising her interpretive skills. Looks to me she is doing a lot more then just experimenting, and is starting to head in a new and a very exciting direction. I would like to see Jackie expand her horizons beyond the CC genre. I recall Jackie having said, " I want to do something that hasn't been done before", while maintaining her "roots" in CC. She may have discovered something uniquely hers that is a combination, and she wants to test the response, or perhaps another writing attempt, or maybe she's doing something new with Gospel. Who knows what Jackie is up to? It's always fun to find out.

Perhaps she will invent Country Rap! You're not being a lot of help here FW! If SANE is the closest Jackie ever gets to Rap, I'll be happy with anything she has invented.

Great review! It is always a pleasure to read about a Jackie concert, specially for all the fans in the world, they probably never have a chance to see Jackie live in concert. So, we get a feeling, how exciting it is, to see Jackie live. Thank you very much!

I'll bet that her set list for tonight, is in all probability, the same as last night: NOTE: According to an expert reviewer, "Ave Maria" was suspiciously absent from the set list! Perhaps a health issue as she was seen sipping hot tea backstage. 2018/04/28 - 3rd Concert of Two Hearts 2018 Tour Conductor: Neal Gittleman Orchestra: Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra Dayton, OH 8:00 PM EDT Shuster Performing Arts Center Mead Theater (2300 Seats) Set List: Orchestra: Jackie's "Lovers" Intro 1. Lovers 2. Somewhere 3. Can You Feel The Love Tonight 4. Orchestra: Mambo from West Side Story 5. When You Wish Upon A Star 6. How Great Thou Art (SO) 7. Think Of Me (SO) Intermission: Orchestra John Williams Tribute Orchestra: Jackie's Pure Imagination Intro 8. Pure Imagination 9. Ombre Mai Fu 10. Imaginer 11. Orchestra: Overture from L'Arlesienne (Bizet) 12. The Way We Were 13. The Music Of The Night 14. O Mio Babbino Caro 15. Nessun Dorma (SO) 16. Encore: The Lord's Prayer (SO) A couple small corrections. There was no orchestra piece being played during the intermission. It was at the start of the 2nd half that the John Williams Tribute was played. (Actually, a long commercial was played on the screen at the start of the 2nd half, then the John Williams Tribute, then Pure Imagination.) And for Pure Imagination, there was no separate intro. That song has a naturally long intro, but it is actually part of the song and not something separate. As a personal preference for the set lists I make for myself, I don't give a number to any of the orchestra pieces. That way, I'm only counting the number of songs that Jackie sang. So for anyone else who feels the same, that would mean that the first night's show had 15 songs by Jackie, and the 2nd night was 14. For anyone wondering, I definitely didn't feel short-changed at all by those numbers. The 4 orchestra pieces certainly did add to the experience. Plus, when you look back at the SFTSS days and back, Carmel in 2014 was the first concert that she did 15 songs, and we felt extremely blessed to get such a bonus. Most concerts were either 13 or 14 songs from Jackie. That's more standard for her full-orchestra shows. We got 15 & 14, and the shows went right up to (and maybe even passed) the 2 hour mark. No complaints at all from me!

You are right. A bad idea. How about Punk Opera? I came across this yesterday listening to Accuradio. You can never discount what an artist can do to a classic. There is a shorter version on YT, but I thought this was kinda funny. I've played Canon in D at just about every wedding I ever played at. Maybe there is a 'Pop Dorma' or 'O Mio Mia' in our future.
