How long is a Long Time? Give me a link when you first learned of the new album!
Jackie has been saying for months now in interviews she wants her next album all original songs written by her, and that she has been working in Nashville on songwriting. Her Label, Melody Place, posted a couple of months ago to look for original Jackie songs to be released in 2023. But I suspect most didn't see that post. Thank you donkey! I didn't see the post by Melody Place! I know she is writing her own compositions and has recently used Social Media to introduce us to one of her songs, and I knew that she wanted to have an album of just her songs! What I didn't know was that such an album was currently in the works and would be released sometime in 2023!!

Yes, technically you are correct...there was no previous announcement of the next album. Just a few clues here and there. lol I think its great news! |

I know these were posted 4 years ago, but I think this reactor's comments are just as relevant today in acknowledgement of Jackie's beautiful renditions of a couple of her favorite Christmas songs. She said she will be singing Karen Carpenter songs at the Carnegie at Homestead Music Hall this Saturday, and of course we can expect "Someday at Christmas. And, there will be "a fun little surprise"....."family oriented show", she said. Could that mean we'll hear something from Rachel? Anyway. looking forward to hearing what it is.

There’s 456 tickets sold as of now. Not good at all. Well compared to the dismal 50 -60 tickets she sold at those Winery concerts I’d say it’s very good. |

This was at intermission; some people had already gotten up for a break or snack. I’d say there were definitely people in every section including those empty last chart I saw; and it was definitely over 1/2 full, and probably over 2/3 full.  |

1st outfit:  1st surprise (duet of “Dream a Little Dream of Me” with Rachel!):  2nd outfit:  2nd surprise (duet of What a Wonderful World, Mike’s favorite song - it was for him, he wasn’t singing; and it was a surprise for him too because Jackie had sent him off on an errand during part of rehearsals so he didn’t know about it):  snow for one of the last songs (I think it was O Holy Night):  |

Gorgeous dresses, Rachel finally getting up the nerve to sing a duet on stage with Jackie, snow....that sounds awesome...I only wish I had been there to see that. Rachel did a great job...they sounded really good together in the video I just watched. And I just got a good look at that red dress....wow!!!!

I’ll leave the setlist to someone else, I didn’t take notes. But an approximation would probably be that of the previous Christmas concert, with the addition of River and Both Sides Now (both from Carousel of Time) and the two duets above; and if it wasn’t in the last one, also Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend (one of the songs Jackie sang as Kitty).

We were hoping for walk-ins...but to be fair, the amount some were saying were showing as sold wasnt far from the lower end of that range...before walk-ins. I thought 460 was a respectable number for Jackie...really glad to hear there could haver been a hundred or two more than that. |
