I am one of the much older, (81 years old) fans who have followed Jackie for many years. Her choice of Classical Crossover was and is a good choice for her. Her versatility in so many genres makes it a natural to follow one of the greatest singers of all time, Linda Ronstadt. Her career over many decades showed the world that a singer does not need to sing only one genre or write her own songs. Linda at one time was at the top of Pop, Country and Rock Billboards at the same time. Her 31 albums have sold millions and she did not write her own songs, but actually became the standard for many different songs she covered. The documentary of her life is well worth watching. Jackie should try making albums in all the different genres and emulate Linda. She could become a real CROSSOVER artist. I like all the different genres I have heard Jackie sing! Come on Jackie...IT's GO TIME!
Top 5 Linda Ronstadt Songs

and my favorite 'Long,Long Time'

Here's another Ronstadt duet that always gives me chills. I remember hearing her voice for the first time with her first big hit, Different Drum and thinking it was the purist I'd ever heard to that point .... until Jackie's. Look at that immense list that trebor started this thread with and be amazed. All those great songs are available to Jackie as are a head spinning thousand more like them. Then imagine what Jackie could do with this song I've just posted or any on trebor's list. Chills.

There has not been any artist since Linda that sang in so many different genres until Jackie. Jackie would do well to watch this video of Linda's life. Jackie could do the same thing and would be great doing it. She has sung in all the different genres and nailed each and every one of them. DO IT JACKIE!
Jackie has often said she doesn't want to be like any other singer, and I respect her for that, but she does not have to sing in the same style of any other singer. She adds something special, (The Jackie Effect) to every performance she does. Her duets with stars are a wonder themselves. IMHO, she out performs each and every one of them. She is the one artist that no one wants to follow on stage. I thought when she had finished the masked singer that she finally saw the potential for staying true to her Classical Crossover roots but could also be very successful in many genres and just needed to break the bonds of the cute little 10 year old with a big voice. I can only hope that the silence from Jackie is because she is hard at work on following her dream of being great at everything.

Come on Jackie! Linda had 31 albums and sold millions without writing her own. You can do it just by doing a reprise of all of Linda in your own unique style. You are so capable of any genre and I love listening to you. Give them all 'THE JACKIE EFFECT' and stay as a QUEEN!
This one is for you...
I would love to hear Jackie's interpretation of these by Linda...

Stay as queen? Dude, her career and fan base has dwindled to almost nothing. Sure, she'll be able to do concerts for years to come for her older, small but loyal fanbase, but the career and super stardom she dreams of lies with the younger crowd, as her fanbase is gradually dying off. Linda Ronstadt was another era...that type of music doesn't sell anymore, except, again, with some of the older crowd.

Most of the music Linda performed is timeless and many younger people would gravitate to Jackie's personal touch to these classics. Linda was in her time as versatile as Jackie and excelled in all genres. Go Jackie Go!

I would not discount music from another era so quickly. Case in point is Angelina Jordan, the Norwegian singer who won Norway's Got Talent (NGT) at the age of 8 by singing Gloomy Sunday (1936) and George Gershwin's Summertime (1935). There are similarities between Jackie and Angelina. They both appeared on AGT the Champions (different seasons) and did not win. Both have voices that belie their age and have been widely acclaimed, and both have released their own early CD's and had since signed with a recording label. But their singing styles are completely different. Angelina sings with a low jazzy voice that has been compared to Billie Holiday, Etta James, and Norah Jones. Angelina has numerous covers on the internet and is now releasing her own music. Her fan base continues to grow (just view the many reaction videos). Her winning NGT gave her international attention but her video of the jazz classic "I Put a Spell on You" (Nina Simone - 1964) at age 9 elevated her to a completely higher level.
As one of our local classical radio stations likes to remind its listeners: "All music was once new."

Linda was in her time as versatile as Jackie and excelled in all genres. Go Jackie Go! You just think that because you like that music. I'm telling you today's younger generations by in large aren't into that kind of music today - just listen to the kind of music in the top 40 over the last 10, 20 years, and today. Nothing like that in there. Plus, most of today's youth have no idea who jackie is, and when you combine that with a no longer relevant pop music style, it's a recipe for, well, continued obscurity. The River and other pop music Jackie has already released hasn't gotten her anywhere. Not because us fans don't like it, but because again, few even know who she is and the type of music is from an era long gone by.

Jackie's problem is most of today's youth don't even know who she is, so when she releases anything, most don't even know about it. Add to that releasing old time pop style songs that aren't the type of music found in the top 40 anymore, and you have a continued recipe for, well, continued relative obscurity. Being a relative unknown, rehashing old pop hits doesn't seem to me like what she needs to get noticed by people outside her senior fan base...she needs cutting edge, grab your attention, original stuff that really stands out from the crowd and grabs their attention and gets noticed - like Billie Eilish does, for example. I'm not saying that's easy too do, it's not. People hear yet another nice voice singing an old classic is not going to get her attention...those are a dime a dozen. By the way, I really like the little I've heard from Jackie singing the jazzy, blues type of stuff like in your video...I'd personally love to hear her do more of that. Mabye she could work her way into the jazz/blues arena. That won't get her super stardom, but mabye she could expand her base some in that direction.

It certainly is not obvious to me why some performers make it big and other seem to fade away. When Taylor Swift first recorded, I didn't think she would go far because I was not impressed by her singing. Boy, was I wrong. The point I didn't make too well earlier with this young Norwegian singer is that she is receiving a lot of interest and praise as a jazz blues style singer although she has covers in other genres such as Queen's "The Show Must Go On", Patsy Cline's "Crazy," and Adele's "Someone Like You." Jazz, like classical crossover. is not mainstream popular music but she has been receiving some credit for introducing a new generation to this style of music. While it is too soon to see where Jackie's and Angelina's careers will end up, if they succeed, I would like to think it is because of their talent and not because of any physical attributes.

The only thing that is still selling is by showing some T an A. 😳 Jackie is very cute, and has some charisma, but she isn't exactly centerfold material. Short and cute doesn't really fit the bill...need to be tall, hot, sexy, and smokin' hot. lol It wouldn't help her singing career anyway, and it would probably hurt it with her senior fan base.
