"A remixed of Papasmurfdad's video to include a clip from The Phantom Of The Opera"
To me, this presentation epitomizes Jackie's essence --her genuine emotion, her pure exquisite voice, her adorable stage presence and personality, her gracious and humble appreciation of her audience,...and that dress! Superimposing the "Phantom" scene places her right in the midst of her inspiration, in a real sense that her performance seems to emanate from it. Very poetic.

This was a really great concert. I was front row center seat. When Jackie came out in the pink dress, I spoke to her and she spoke back to "me" right there. Someone took a photo just as Jackie is talking to me, (her hands moving). A really Great night.

The next concert Nov. 5th. was my 65th. B-day. Again, front and center. Jackie was looking at me as I was ready to take a picture. She 'did' pose for me. That is the photo that has been used over and over. Great 65th. birthday !

I joined this board January 23 to post my reaction to the Tyler concert two days prior. That line and the other big one still resonate in my mind. DF said of DWM he wanted to re=record some songs because how she improves monthly. Heck Lisa pulled PTAD for that reason. I love her at 12 in this concert. But my first experience was her at her best four years later at 16. Edit: I'm leaving the door open for someone to finish this post. (Ha. Thx jr)

Her best is yet to come and that is why I'm staying on this bus ride. Trust me, there are plenty of new thrills pending and some maybe just around the corner in the bend of this road.

This is my video of Jackie in "The Dress" as it became known. I had to keep the camera in my lap as the video nazis were on high alert. The dress was so overpowering that my camera could hardly stay in focus, it was a surreal experience to say the least. I've never heard such a collective gasp from the audience as I did that night when Jackie walked out on the stage in that dress.

I've never heard such a collective gasp from the audience as I did that night when Jackie walked out on the stage in that dress. The Dress also elicited a collective gasp when Jackie wore it at Naples, Florida, in a December concert. I sometimes think of the dress as The Christmas Tree Dress as it sparkled like a Christmas tree. Pity that she wore it so few times. I suppose it is too much to imagine that it could be refashioned to fit Jackie today as she has not grown all that much. I do hope that The Dress is one day in the Smithsonian Museum.
