I'm cautiously optimistic. The water has receded from the building. Posts on the venue webpage show them already in full recovery mode. Two months with a dedicated team can work wonders. Of course, time will tell. I have a large wet/dry vac. Maybe they will accept volunteers. We've been in the venue before. Mix up a gallon of Murphys Oil Soap.

We're thinking of driving by the venue tomorrow and taking a peek inside if the water has receded enough.

From the pictures the streets look very clean, no muck or debris. Looks like the water was clean and not filled with any sewage, much easier to clean up.

A lot of the muck and debris is caught in fences around the area. I wouldn't count out sewage not being in the flood water. All it takes is some covers being lifted off by the pressure of the water.

I believe this is the first concert in the Houston ares since Jackie's very first concert in 2011. I am forever thankful that papasmurf was there to document Jackie's very first concert with such great memorable videos, otherwise there would be no record of that event.

The one in Dallas where he taped her singing The Lords Prayer is one of my all time favorites and a big shout out to papasmurf for capturing that epic performance. ☺️

Here are the trucks we were describing. The view is from the back parking lot. We didn't get pictures of the large retractable tubing used to dry the inside as they are on the opposite side of the building.

Just curious, as you're driving about, is there any lingering odours such as raw sewage or gasoline or a musty or moldy smell in the air?

The Centrum has been closed indefinitely. The Promoter is looking for other venues.

The Centrum has been closed indefinitely. The Promoter is looking for other venues. The Harris County court house next to the venue has also been closed indefinitely. Well, it will be interesting to see how they handle this. There is a new high school that opened this year even closer to our house with an auditorium. Also, there are some other large churches in the area as well as a large outdoor venue (Cynthia Woods Mitchell pavilion) in the Woodlands, about 20 miles from us.

I'm also wondering how they are going to handle the ticket sales and seating in a different venue. I assume they will refund the tickets and the new venue will pick up ticket sales and seating.
