Apparently you have inspired some astute fan to help turn things around again, though with not quite the same tenacity, but perhaps at least trying to compensate for your determination to prove a point. I don't know if I encouraged anyone to turn it around, but I did do a lot of voting this morning to do just that, and will do more tonight when I'm home to be certain Jackie has a large lead. I didn't realize that the voting count only updates about once an hour, which is why Taylor got so far ahead. She was at about 11% and suddenly about 25% when it updated. Multi voting is definitely common place among hardcore fans. That is why it isn't worth taking any of these FAN polls too seriously or you will probably drive yourself crazy.

It demonstrates to me that Jackie has a multitude of admirers who are actively promoting her. Often on these polls Jackie appears at first in a 3rd or lower position and moves to #1 and stays there. I haven't seen that she's been surpassed on any poll once she's at the top. I'm not an avid follower of Top Ten polls, only those including Jackie as they appear coincidentally, then I check in once in a while. Two days ago Grace was leading Jackie as Best Child Singer Of All Time by 8%, iirc. Today the difference is 1%. Here's a new one to me: Women With The Most Beautiful Blue Eyes Jackie #1 at 27%, Elizabeth Taylor #2 at 12% www.thetoptens.com/women-with-beautiful-blue-eyes/Sorry, but on that one, Elizabeth Taylor gets my vote because of those beautiful violet eyes! Come on, we all know she gets your vote because she is not Jackie.

Great! That will help bridge the gap between what is now 11% for her and 28% for Jackie. Do some of that "multiple voting stuff ". Thanks for that suggestion, I think I will do just that. lol Translation, you have been doing it all along.

Anonymous demonstrated quite dramatically that an individual can affect poll percentages considerably. Obviously multiple voting does occur, and I haven't argued that it doesn't. However, my occasional observation is that percentage increases are gradual, sometimes not changing for days/weeks on polls that include Jackie. That indicates to me that multiple voting is not as significant in it's effect as suggested. Also, I'm not convinced that Jackie's "hardcore fans" engage in the "common place" practice more than fans of other artists on the same poll, such as Amira, for example. There's no actual proof of that, but only conjecture.
Of course, the polls are meant to attract viewers and are entertaining for those who follow them regularly, but to dismiss them as meaningless could be interpreted as an unwillingness to accept that Jackie is more popular on certain polls. Or, perhaps it's a resentment toward Jackie's devoted fans. If Jackie's fans are more "determined" in their voting, one may concede she has inspired their enthusiasm. The question is, does that enthusiasm come from recognition of her exceptional talent/voice? If one examines Jackie's career and acknowledges her accomplishments, he/she would be hard pressed to argue that she hasn't earned and deserved the recognition these polls indicate, and might rather be given to discount the poll as "not amounting to much".
I agree that Top Ten polls don't make or break an artist's career, but they are not necessarily insignificant either. The curious public may be influenced to investigate those artists who are among the top 3 which can be beneficial in attracting new fans. The #1 artist/album/song,etc. is more likely to peak one's interest if unfamiliar. In conclusion, the polls may have an appeal likened to tabloids, but this is the entertainment business, and their influence cannot be dismissed despite one's aversion to them.

"Most unique" makes me cringe. The word unique being an absolute can't be modified. Despite that Jackie gets my vote.

I really don't like this category for Jackie. So, I gave my vote to Freddie Mercury who was an absolute freak of nature besides being truly unique.

I like this category for Jackie, among others. She is leading by a margin of 10%. Setting a new example of what "hot" means.

I just discovered this poll. Best Classical Crossover Singers. Jackie is #2 by a wide margin behind David Phelps, a 49 year old Christian Music vocalist, song writer and vocal arranger.
Also Best Female Classical Crossover Singers where Jackie is #1 by a wide margin.

David is phenomenal. he performs the second most beautiful ND I've ever heard.
Does a decent OHN as well-
if Jackie ever drifts into the contemporary Christian lane, she would have a huge market to break into.

if Jackie ever drifts into the contemporary Christian lane, she would have a huge market to break into. Jackie has drifted in and out of the "Christian lane" since she was 9, I believe. In alphabetical order from the dk site lyrics list, these are the songs Jackie has sung to the present (enough for an album): Amazing Grace Angel
Ave Maria Concrete Angel (an original?) Dormi Jesu Guardian Angels How Great Thou Art (the latest recorded) Open Fields of Grace (an original) Panis Angelicus Pie Jesu The Lord's Prayer The Prayer To Believe (an original) (And, the Christmas songs of course)
There are probably others I've missed, or could be considered in the category. At age 9 "Performing with the Church's adult chior. Jackie sings Amazing Grace."
