Absolutely love Take Me There. She rocks it and hope to hear Jackie do some more faster paced songs like that in the future. Agree. Being partial to live versions, that, and the other two YT vids by Christopher Berowski, Memories and Made to Dream, from the McCallum concert, are what I like to show to Jackie "virgins"- wanting to start out with something fairly recent. Then, if they say something like "How can she do that at age 15?" I hit 'em upside the head with Lovers from Dream With Me in Concert, or Nessun Dorma from BGT.

For a phone camera in the audience a great result, she looks and sounds like a work of art. You have a good habit of picking the very best Jackie vids, Schrodinger, from among the many great ones there are. I am also impressed by the orchestrations in Jackie's work, so uplifting on Take Me There, for instance.

Open Fields of Grace is one of my favorites that has not seen the light of day since Longwood. Such a beautiful song, part of me wonders if the struggle she had with the timing that evening put her off on that song permanently. I realize that Jackie can't sing every song from every album, but I'd really like to here it again live.

"Awakening" is definitely my favorite of all of Jackie's albums, with "Dream With Me" a close second.....
"Open Fields of Grace" has special meaning for me but I love all of the songs on the album, including "My Immortal" from the Japanese release.

I'm not saying it wouldn't be deserved, just that I don't remember... (Of course the old memory can play tricks, LOL...)

I don't believe Jackie wrote the lyrics to "Made to Dream;" I thought the entire thing -- lyrics and music -- was composed by Jean-Pierre Steyn. ??

Interesting that Awakening has had a large and sustained boost, ahead of both Someday At Christmas and Together We stand. The fact that many are looking at Jackie's last "Artist's" release (cf Special Events) shows a serious interest, which should lead to an increased long term fanbase.
The mix and style on the next album is, more that usual, a very strategic decision. A decision being made in a turbulent and unpredictable marketing landscape. A historic journey continues.

Open Fields of Grace (lyrics here from the Jackie Denmark site)
www.jackie-evancho.dk/lyrics/openfieldsofgrace.html
reminded me of this poem by Mary Elizabeth Frye:
Do not stand at my grave and weep I am not there. I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow. I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain. I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the morning's hush I am the swift uplifting rush Of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry; I am not there. I did not die.
