I just created a quiz on the songs Jackie Evancho has sung on JetPunk: www.jetpunk.com/user-quizzes/1246259/songs-sung-by-jackie-evanchoMost of the songs in the answer came from the previous post by Willyiam . I added the songs from The Debut and a few others. For a single song multiple answers can be acceptable. For example, "vincent" is an acceptable answer for "starry starry night." Have fun!

I am a bit surprised that Jackie hasn't posted about Morricone, or did I miss something?

I am a bit surprised that Jackie hasn't posted about Morricone, or did I miss something? No, you didn't miss something. Jackie is very quiet anyway the last few days.

Here is Jackie singing Memory from Cats as a 9 year old: Perhaps it is time for an update. Here is Elaine Paige: Unfortunately there is background clicking sound

This is an 11 yo Jackie singing Mi Mancherai from her Dream With Me In Concert album and, please indulge me, as many times as I have listened to this incredible performance, I still can't wrap my head around what this 11 yo had to learn to pull this off! I realize that this was not a paying audience, but an audience it was! Lets break this down; 1. At 11 yo, she could not read or understand the symbols on a sheet of music. 2. She did not speak Italian and had to learn how to pronounce the words with proper cadence and/or inflection. 3. She had to be taught and commit to memory how to sing the song, and at what note to continue singing after a pause. 4. She had to stand on a stage in front of an audience with no signs of stage fright and confidently sing into a microphone.
5. I'm sure David had a lot to do with how well she did, but what this child of 11 had to learn and performed perfectly, is simply astonishing.
Can anyone add some more?

Willyiam, I completely agree. It was unbelievable how Jackie performed. For me, "Dream with me" (video and disc) is a masterpiece and should have earned a Grammy.

Well, I guess no one is going to take me up on adding some more, so I'll finish this little exercise! The most equally astonishing aspect of this 11 yo child's performance, is that she repeated item,s 1 thru 5 above, 14 times! If you can, wrap you head around this:
1. When You Wish Upon A Star 2. Nella Fantasia (Italian Lyrics) 3. O Mio Babbino Caro (Italian Lyrics) 4. To Believe 5. Imaginer (French Lyrics) 6. Lovers 7. Dark Waltz 8. Angel 9. Somewhere 10. Mi Mancherai (Italian Lyrics) 11. Ombra Mai Fu (Italian Lyrics) 12. All I Ask of You 13. The Lord's Prayer 14. Dream With Me 15. Nessun Dorma (Italian Lyrics)
These are the songs Jackie performed in the PBS production of Dream With Me In Concert. Nine songs in English! Five songs in Italian! One song in French!
And all of these songs had to be learned and committed to memory by an 11 yo who could not read music and did not speak either French or Italian! And, in addition to this extraordinary list, she had little or no experience in behind the scenes musical production! Kudos to David Foster and Yvie Burnett for teaching Jackie the intricacies of how to perform each song! But, as you can't make a Horse drink, it was Jackie's gift that ultimately proved the success of this venture! AFAIC, The PBS production of Dream With Me In Concert is a masterpiece that should have had more peer recognition that it did!
