Actually, The Haunting & Pedestal are both dark in theme & mood.

Not a fan of pedestal too. Jackie songs have a way of growing on people. Just sayin'.

Jackie songs have a way of growing on people. Just sayin'. As things stand, this could be the first Jackie song that I originally do not like that doesn't grow on me. I am afraid that it could bring down the average quality of the album.

I understand buddy. I suffered Jackie Panic Syndrome over a lousy radio feed of Jackie's SSB at the inauguration. It was a TERRIBLE feed in Indianapolis.
That reminds me. I need to send some "Thanks for trying, I'm ok now" PMs to several people who tried valiantly to calm my episode. Lol

DO you think, we still will get a review from the concert(s) in Seattle? The only thing we know is the set list. It is very quit and nothing to find. I would like to know, how it was running.

Actually, The Haunting & Pedestal are both dark in theme & mood. Yes, both songs are dark. She seems to be telling us something about herself, yet not well defined. "The Haunting" seems to be influenced by Amy Lee and "Pedestal" seems to be influenced by Lana Del Rey. Jackie of course puts her own spin on them. Both are a good start, both need a good group behind for definition of beat and melody.

I saw that Juliet did some modeling work at Vancouver Fashion Week. Only two and a half hours from Seattle. I wonder if the sisters were able to attend each others' events.

JR and Chris will surely give us at least their impressions. They may well have been enthralled and are a bit dumbfounded by post concert glow. They also may be collaborating on a single review, that can take more time than the spill it all out style I have for reviews, Lol We'll hear from them and we'll be glad.

Timothy Higashi 18 mins
Thursday was a great day for me. That evening I was at the Triple Door in Seattle watching Jackie Evancho's performance. I have attended six of her concerts since 2013. This was her finest I've ever witness, live or video. The performance was the most intimate that I've attended, just her and her pianist. The music was the best and her voice was powerful and full of emotion.

From steveojackiefan, posted in the Shoutbox:
Hey, hi....to the 'fantabuloso' Jackie Evancho. Like the 3.6 million UTube folks....a huge music guy, grew up with 4 brothers, other than HS sports, and school, of course...music was IT! Dad....classically trained, performed in local musicals, led local big band, etc. My twin brother, Glenn, an optometrist, but Piano player...has probably made over $1M playing over the years. Absolutely do not want to worry Jackie, handlers etc., but at the Seattle concert last Friday night, I met a guy 'Bob' from Chicago.....he was HAMMERED....had no sleep for 2+ days....flew out to see Jackie...both Thurs & Friday....just seemed to be a creep....stalker?? ....a bit scary. Sorry, but want you to be safe. Cannot say how much I loved your Friday shows....you are, simply, amazing....like Piers & Sharon said....'the voice of an angel'....keep it going!!!!!!!! And, thanks. (oh, and BTW, because of my referral, I had 6 friends drive over to Seattle from Eastern Washington....to join me at the concert! Yahooooo!!!!

Well Members, here is the review for the two shows at the Seattle concerts that my daughter and I went to.
The first show we went to was the 7pm show on Thursday. I was every thing we expected and more. It was a beautiful venue with the same decor you would find in one of the better show rooms in the country but it was small enough to be called a Lounge show. The set list has already been posted so I won't bore you with that. I will say that some of the songs seemed shorter than usual but most were full length. The only performers were Jackie and her sidekick Peter. He did his usual magic with all of his electronic gizmos and a piano. There was quite a bit of banter between Jackie and Peter which kept the show interesting and moving along. I should mention that the seating at this show was a lot different than her usual concert theater. There were booths down the middle and rows of tables down the sides. The front row was a row of tables right up against the stage. From the front row it almost seemed like we could reach out and touch her if we tried.
Being as this was her first show at this venue, Jackie seemed very excited and here usual exuberant self. Every song seemed to be better than the last one. One down side for Jackie however seemed to be problems with her new shoes during the last part of the show. They were hurting her feet and she mentioned that. My daughter told her to just take them off. Guess what, she said OK that's a good idea and did just that.
Before she sang her last song she said it would be her last song and thanked us all for coming to her show. After she finished the song she and Peter left the stage. There were a lot of her fans at this show and we all knew that if we kept the applause going she would come back and she did. The first thing she said was (you guys are a greedy bunch huh?) then she sang ND. It brought the house down. Have you ever thought about doing a standing O from a booth? Not easy to do but everyone was on their feet. By the way, the show was standing room only, it was a sellout.
10pm show on Friday. I would say the room was only 2/3 full but again there were quite a few of her fans. This show was basically a repeat of the Thursday 7pm show with a little more polish. She also was smart enough to wear another pair of shoes that didn't hurt her feet.
After her last song and she left the stage, the applause died off after she left the stage with only her real fans maintaing the applause so we started yelling more Jackie more Jackie and finally she and Peter came back and the first thing she said was (I thought maybe you all didn't like me) We told her we didn't, we loved her. Again she brought the roof down with ND. Another standing O.
All and All they were great shows. Now I have to wait until she comes within a 1000 miles of where I live so we can go to another Jackie Show.

jrchico,
Thanks greatly for the excellent review. It's good to learn that there were considerable sales for the Friday late show since the last report. I wonder how the Thursday late show did -- probably poorer.
Any specific comments about the songs which she has not performed before?
