Carly Simon's song "Let the River Run", an Oscar winner, IMO is most probably the hardest song to sing. Even choirs have trouble with it. Maybe someday Jackie may like to tackle it.

Jackie did a fantastic cover of Within Temptation's "Memories". Their symphonic metal sound is a genre that Jackie's voice can be well suited for. There are 2 other songs that I'd like Jackie to consider doing someday.
One song, "Stand My Ground". Sounds like what Jackie recently went through. The fearless young lady stood her ground, didn't she?
Second is "See Who I Am". This is a song all of us should listen to. Maybe we might find a way to find the truth and reach for a better world.

The incredibly beautiful 'All Of Me' written by John Legend. Brilliantly and emotionally sung by a gorgeous young Chinese woman. I hope one day Jackie will sing it;

One of the greatest bands ever put together. Their songwriting, arranging and instrumental brilliance are second to none in their Epic Symphonic Metal genre. And out front is their supremely talented vocalist Sharon den Adel.

"It's not a difficult song and Jackie would do well singing it, but the arrangement would have to be changed to suit Jackie's style. To me, the song is a belting song, and Jackie doesn't belt, she forms the music so she doesn't need to belt. All in all, I'd like to hear her sing it." bgstar
I'm not sure that song can be rearranged without damaging it. It is SO iconic now. As for "belting", all Jackie would need to do is go from Piano(soft)in her low range to Forte(loud) an octave higher. She did quite a bit of F-FF in Midland and also in Tyler so she can turn up the volume when she needs to. The problem is her lungs are still pretty small so she can't hold loud notes very long before she has to breathe. I really wish she could get some training in breath control to compensate for her lungs.

She does have room for improvement in terms of her breathing. But I am not sure whether professional training will be Jackie's cup of tea.

As for her breathing, in some ways that is part of her style which creates her unique phrasing and IMHO is part of her creating her own niche in the music world. Covers of many songs she has already done (Blank Space and Writing on the Wall) are better than original. Of course that is just my opinion. Which in todays world will buy a cup of coffee if you throw in five bucks!

It buys you a lot and i totally agree with you. Who could possibly improve on that voice without taking the chance of ruining it. If it's not broke don't fix it is my motto.

Re training, I think if Jackie can get any benefit from professional training then she should do it. But I would't take it for granted. One of the regrets in my life is that I didn't find out about Jackie in time to share her with my own dear late mother. As a young girl, my mother was said to have the prettiest voice in the north. During the war, at the age of about twelve, she was spotted by a government talent scout, taken out of school and sent 1,500 miles away to be given voice training in a performing arts program. She never liked the training and did not respond well to it. The worst part of it was that though they were supposed to keep her regular schooling up they didn't bother, and after a year when they finally put her back in school they put her in with her own age, so having missed a whole year she went from near the top of the class to the bottom. This wouldn't be a problem for Jackie, but I mention it to make the point that professional training is not necessarily the great way forward, at least it wasn't in my mom's case.

Two of the greatest singers that have ever lived will be having their birthdays soon, Dame Vera Lynn, 3/20/17, 100, and Doris Day, 4/3/17, 92. It would be great if Jackie would sing a tribute to them. The following song is one they both sang and one that I'm sure would have some meaning to Jackie in the future.

I'm not a religious person, but from the beginning I have admired Jackie for her faith, her prayers of thanks to her Lord for what she believes to be his gift to her. No one can deny her love and faith in prayer. There is a song I would like her to sing. Our future looks kind of grim, but maybe a prayer will do?

I'm not religious either as most of you know, but I know a beautiful song when I hear one, as most of you also know. I am also a huge animal lover as is Jackie and as all of us here are as well.
This video shows one of the best animal rescue organizations in the country; Hope For Paws in Los Angeles in action. They rescue pit bulls primarily but will not turn down any animal in need. They also play really good music for their videos and this one is a song that Jackie should fall in love with;
