Slow but sure. "Large streams from little fountains flow, Tall oaks from little acorns grow." ( D. Everett-The Columbian Orator, 1797) Confucius stated, “It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop.” Sometimes, especially when we are young, it can be tempting to try and achieve everything as quickly as possible. However, what matters more is taking your time and diligently working toward your goals. The big cop-out would be to accept popularity rather than opting to try to create potent work. It's so easy to do the popular thing, the expected thing, and that's where you start to cheat yourself - and your fans, in the end - because there's an inherent dishonesty in pandering and dishing up what everyone's expecting. ( Wise words - The Edge) Happy New Year to you all - Martin UK How does that apply to Jackie she isn't popular, and she sure isn't creative. It is not as if Jackie is trading popularity for anything. A successful career is what makes one popular not the other way around.

Quote: "The big cop-out would be to accept popularity rather than opting to try to create potent work." Has nothing to do with Jackie no matter how you try to spin it. And the "The Edge" David Howell Evans is very popular and very well known plus he is very creative. Like I said Jackie is not popular nor creative. You are just trying to put Jackie in a good light for not doing anything to farther her career along.

Rickky, I can't make you leave, but you don't belong here. In closing: # 1 AGOG U Da Man # 2 If Rob49 posted this, all 4 or 5 admins or mods would be yelling at him to leave. # 3 I heard CCUK has an opening for 4 or 5 new members or posters to join them, experience with Amazon required. # 4 Make this a wonderful new year by replacing them with our recently departed members. I miss my friend (cl). I am sure I am not alone. Come on jr mmd.

Thanks for this article, rob49. Not exactly 'good' news but informative. Charting practices for the classical-crossover genre are deceptive at best as far as sales are concerned.

I suspect that the decrease in Facebook is due to a general decrease in use of Facebook. The decrease in Twitter is harder to explain. Perhaps there are stricter guidelines.
I do add that the increase of 15.3% in views of YouTube videos with over 1M views is somewhat misleading, not wrong, but misleading. Unless the 5 videos which reached 1M in 2018 are new, they did already have views before 2018 which are not included in the 2017 total.

I should go back to listing the videos individually and pointing out the assumptions, but I'm just too busy and too lazy at the moment. I will add an unsubstantiated claim (or an opinion) that things are looking positive for Jackie at the moment. Upcoming concerts are approaching "sold out", there is resurgence in some of the older facebook groups, and maybe most important of all, Jackie is still working hard for success after 10 years. She has courage. She will prevail.

Hi Billie, Rickky (Richard) is a fan of a couple of young dancers and was not a fan of Jackie, and now posts on a sister forum. However, most of the people on this forum are now, in fact, fans of Jackie. I found Jackie the day after she appeared on America's Got Talent. The date of her appearance was August 10, 2010, and I found that performance on Yahoo on August 11, 2010 and have been a fan ever since.
