There is an interesting new music platform called TikTok (known as Douyin in China). It actually uses short form videos for cell phones as an app. Last October, Apple's App Store had 3.8 million downloads. www.tiktok.com/en/It was originally called Musical.ly. In November 2017, the $75 billion Chinese media company Byte-Dance purchased the company with the intent to merge its 60 million users in the US and Europe into Byte-Dance's own platform, TikTok to create a new global app. What ends up happening is that one or more TikTok users create 15 second video memes that can be linked back to the original music videos back on YouTube and the music on Spotify. If a meme hits, the traffic driven back to the original full-length music videos and the music on Spotify can be gigantic. We are talking about a push of tens of millions. One country singer's song had so much traffic driven to it that a remix of the song hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. I am thinking that maybe something clever can be done with Burn. It is worth a shot. Wonder if someone could try to let Jackie know about it.
