Can someone please describe the simplest procedure for capturing an image from a YouTube video using the snipping tool, and how to paste/post it in a thread? I am using either Firefox or Google Chrome.
An example would be the header photo/image of Jackie taken from the last scene of her Pedestal video when she's looking back over her shoulder, some time ago.

The Windows snipping tool works great for that. YouTube in chrome does not give the banner of other videos when paused so use the spacebar to start/stop to the frame you want. Open snipping tool, click the 'new' button and click and drag to select what you want to snip. Next click the save button and name your snipped image. Saves as Jpg, png or gif.
then the 'add image to post' button at the top of the post window can browse your computer and add your image like this--

Thanks, bounderdriver Your instructions are very easy to follow. Much appreciated. I was successful in adding the image. However, I had wanted it to be much larger and in the proportions that I captured. Perhaps that isn't possible. It's a close-up of Jackie singing with great emotion that can't be done justice at this size. Any suggestion?

Any suggestion?Snip grabs any size and shape box that you draw, so the biggest image on the screen you can get will help, and if the video is in highest resolution in setting on YouTube, you may get way with enlarging it in a photo tool, even Paint can resize an image. too much though and you'll have degradation, but start with 720 or 1080 will help. I snipped this from her appearance on New Day singing Safe and Sound. I increased to 150% in Paint.edit- I guess the upload tool crops it here.. you have to open it to see the full image.

Thanks again. Apparently this method won't achieve the result I want. I captured the whole screen, but end up with a thumbnail as above. Maybe Admin can explain how he captured the header image from Jackie's Pedestal video and fit it to the header format (size and portion). Meanwhile, I'll continue to experiment.

As I recall I used VLC media player to capture the image I wanted and then I used PaintShop Pro to enlarge the image to the size I wanted.

The following image was obtained by loading a video into Zoom Player Free that I have of Jackie's Nov. 21 2015 of Your Love, which contains the still picture at the beginning of the video.
I then stopped the player at the image of Jackie and pressed Ctrl/Print Screen to send the image to the Clipboard. Then I pasted the image into Paint and Saved As a .png image to my hard drive. I then uploaded the image to Google Drive.
I was unsuccessful in finding the Lancaster video, so I included it below:
EDIT: While on Youtube, playing a Youtube video, you can Left/Click once on the place in the video that you want to capture the image. This will stop the video. Left/Click again to restart the video.
Then you can continue with the Ctrl/Print Screen instructions above.
Another example: This image was taken from a Youtube video of classical guitarist Ana Vidovic playing Cavatina:
This is the video:

Thanks, Willyiam. My objective is to post a video capture at a larger size than the thumbnail that is uploaded from my computer source, being Windows Photos or Paint, like the one bounderdriver displayed. That can be clicked as well to reveal the full sized image. I guess that will have to suffice, but lacks the initial impression I wanted to present. I will post it in General Jackie Pictures in the Caption the Photo thread.

Didn't know where else to put this! Admin: Please feel free to put it where it belongs.
This is a personal problem I had with my ASUS Windows 10 laptop, but I thought I would share in case anyone here had the same problem.
After a recent Windows 10 update, I started to receive "There are no more files" error whenever I tried to do a Save As. It got so bad, that I was receiving the message for any save or save as.
After a Google search, I found the following: "“There are no more files” error pop-up mainly occurs on ASUS computers running Windows 10 Pro and Home versions."
And a fix: "How to fix “There are no more files” error on Windows 10?"
After applying the fix, no more "There are no more files error" and I could Save or Save As normally. Hope this helps anyone else having a similar problem.
