Jackie did sing a song with the same words. Same words??? LOL there were no words sung. Not only that, I don't recognize the song itself. Could you perhaps post a link to the song Jackie sang that you think matches this a capella music? I would be very interested in hearing it. I was trying, obviously unsuccessfully, to be funny since it did not sound like anything which she has sung to me. Thus the smiley. I was referring to Vocalise which also has no words.

Never has a godman brought me to tears before so you know this is a VERY special performance; Jackie should sing this beautiful song.

Ursus, to me it's reminiscent of Edda Dell Orso's recording of Jill's Theme (Jackie's Your Love) "Jill's Theme", by Ennio Morricone, from Once Upon A Time In The West was originally recorded by Edda Dell Orso for the movie soundtrack (no lyrics). When lyrics were given to Jill's Theme it became known as "Your Love" which is what Jackie recorded on Awakening. Nana Mouskouri's song (no lyrics), which I posted above, reminded me of Jill's Theme, which also gives me "goosebumps". Here are both. Jill's Theme first, then Jackie's Your Love

Elgar: Enigma Variations/Rattle-Berliner Philharmoniker; I have a yearly subscription to the Berlin Philharmonic, a great orchestra. They are very diverse. The lead harp player along with a cello are French, the two first trumpets are Hungarian. Two of the french horn players and one cello are from England and Scotland. The principle viola is Japanese, as well as the violin concert master. The alternate violin concert master is American (former concert master of the Pittsburgh Symphony). One of the bass players is Italian. Don't get me wrong, the majority are German.

Music hasn't given me "goosebumps", but I've been affected so profoundly that I'm choked up, at times actually tearful. That has often been my experience when listening to Jackie, particularly in those astonishing early years. I've felt that compulsive emotion at other times as well, such as when I saw this video of a Lara Fabian concert where she was moved by the loyalty and love expressed by her audience. At first it seemed rude but was revealed to be a spontaneous dedication. Tu vois je t'aime comme ca (You see, I love you like that) I'm glad I don't watch this video very often. I saw it several years ago and my wife came in and saw me crying. She didn't understand b/c music doesn't affect her like that.
