Thanks for that. Yesterday I couldn't for the life of me find out when it was on in the Mountain Time Zone. The Denver Post didn't list TLC in their online TV guide, and other sites just said 10 Eastern, 9 Central- but the LA Times was saying, 10. So I showed up at my friend's house at 8:45 like an idiot; it had started at 8. This morning I went to YouTube and TLC was offering it for $1.99, commercial free. Haven't seen that on YT before. I thought, OK, support Jackie, she wants more episodes, give TLC some money. Clicked, got email confirm. On YT it was marked "purchased". But when I tried to watch it there was audio but no video. Don't know what to do about that. edit add: found a support click on the email confirmation. Sent a report. Awaiting answer.

Thanks Don. My question regarding Rachel wanting to sing was answered. It is Yes, she does want to sing. This could be very interesting. Definitely something I'll be paying attention to. Jackie said something about September (I think). Good luck Rachel. No new info on Zach. I hope he is a serious student in school. Not too much on those two younger siblings. I think this was the last time I heard Rachel singing solo. Jackie once said that Zach wanted to be an engineer and was the gardener in the family. Don

PAY ATTENTION, BG! I'm pretty sure you quoted the wrong post. (Else yours doesn't make any sense??) ok, who is the Evancho wolf ? Jackie says in her interview that each member of the family has their own right after stating there are six dogs in the family. (Not literal wolves - and certainly not dire wolves - I know, but canines nevertheless.)

The show was more Juliet than Jackie. Juliet has completely changed her story about being transgender. Now her mom didn't tell her, she told her mom. There was a lot of Juliet crying. They made Mike out to be the bad guy. Lisa still treats Jackie like a child and reads her mail when it comes. Basically I couldn't wait for it to be over. That really is unfortunate that you got so little from the show. For me it was very insightful and by the end I feel I correctly realized that this show was about the effects upon the Evancho family by Jackie singing the Anthem, Jackie's principles and relationship with Juliet about LGBTQ and her career and how the two sisters have been drawn into a political nightmare. But central to the entire show was how LGBTQ and career affects each member of the Evancho family. One heck of a strong family even with having disagreements within the family. But the magnitude of the issues far surpasses anything any of us have ever faced or likely to face. A family worth knowing if only we had the chance. It sounds from comments like these I would agree completely with Rick; no matter how "heart-warming" (more like stomach-churning) all this so-called LBGTQ business is, the fact remains that without Jackie, her fame, her career, and especially her money to provide for these "causes", without all of them there would have been NO interest, NO sex-change operation, and nothing on which to base this show. Personally, I have NO interest in any of this apart from Jackie and her career as a singer and entertainer which I think would have been much more promising without all the drama queen posturing.

As an amateur "Jackie History Buff" I am glad that Lisa (3 minutes in) confirmed what I suspected, that Jackie started singing "Think of Me" around the house at age 5, not age 7 as commonly given. The Phantom of the Opera movie came to Pittsburgh when Jackie was 5, not 7. Also, several of the E's old sites say age 5, not 7. Don That makes MUCH more sense! I remember seeing it at the theater earlier than the 7 year-old story would be possible, unless for some reason they saw it at some kind of revival, film festival, etc.

I don't know what's wrong, but I can't get this to load. Me too! I tried it with different Browsers. No chance. I thought, maybe there is some geo blocking, since I will see it in Europe.

I discovered that if you move the time button to just past the 2:00 minute mark, like 2:03 it will resume from where it stops on the Evancho Family Home scene at about 1:50, either on Chrome or Firefox. I haven't had time to watch it yet, had no cable to watch it last night, so I'm looking forward to viewing early this evening.

Hover the mouse pointer over the video screen, and the time progress line will appear at the bottom with a light blue dot indicating the time. I have to go now, lunch is over.

I enjoyed watching last night and it certainly gave us some insight into the family dynamic. I imagined that Jackie had a lot of control in the "family business" and I am glad to see that she asserts herself even though I tended to agree with Mike on most issues. Mike definitely is more conservative as it relates to PR and thinking longer term than the rest of the family. It feels good to "do the right thing" but as most of us gray hairs know, following your heart without engaging your brain may not be the best long term strategy. It also seems evident to me that without the "Juliet Factor" I doubt the show would have been produced. While we Jackie Fans would watch regardless, in order for TLC to have a marketable product they need a hook. Transgender issues, by evidence of the preceding program "I am Jazz," are a hot topic at least in so far as TLC is considered. Jackie's singing career alone with the family dynamics in my opinion would not attract enough viewers, but with the Transgender angle, they may have something. I guess time will tell. Where I was, the whole evening was taken up with Jazz episodes, with "Growing Up Evancho" tucked in the middle. Is Jazz a regular on TLC? She has dozens of vids on YouTube. "The Teen Face of Transgender". She started going to school as a girl when she was quite young, 6 or so. I hear there was a tie-in in the Jazz episode preceding "Growing Up", with Jazz and Juliet talking by Skype.

Until this special I did not know how much that Juliet wanted to sing too. I recall that Jackie said he (then) was too nervous on stage (2012?) and likely would not do more duets, and that was that. He was on the Talent Conquest TV show (it was Talent Quest when Jackie was on it) with Debra Crosby in 2011 as a guest co-host and seemed pretty happy doing it. Example picture (For more, go to Facebook and search for "Talent Quest TV show" Debra Crosby): Don Click to enlarge:
