The Centrum has been closed indefinitely. The Promoter is looking for other venues. Apparently, after I posted the above facebook notice on her facebook page, Jackie has not thrown in the towel yet as well (Three likes, one love)...

Texas Hoosier brings this to our attention:
I just spoke with somebody at Cypress Creek. The are they are located in over by Katy, Texas was hit very hard by Hurricane Harvey and their facility was flooded. The lady I spoke with told me that the Director of The Centrum is trying very hard to locate an alternate venue at this time. I asked if I should purchase a ticket at this time or hold off until later and she told me to hold off until the middle of next week and check back at that time. They have another concert scheduled before Jackie's which is scheduled for 4 November 2017 and apparently whatever they are trying to do to reschedule that concert will have some effect on JME's concert date and location.
In addition, I tried to contact Brazosport College to learn the status of JME's concert scheduled for 3 November 2017 and all I got was a recording that the facility was closed on 25 August 2017 due to Hurricane Harvey and to try back at another time. Brazosport is located close to Lake Jackson and that area received a tremendous amount of rain and its location down near the coast was hit especially hard by the Hurricane.
That's all I know at this time; anybody gets any update, would appreciate it you would post it on this site.

FYI, the Centrum is located at Cypresswood and Steubner Airiline, not over by Katy. How do I know? I drove by the Centrum last week and have attended concerts there in the past.

My wife informed me yesterday that she talked with someone who is working with Centrum. They indicated that several of the shows were going to transfer to the new High School auditorium that I mentioned previously, which is about two miles from our house. She did not say which of the concerts were involved.
Who knows, she might end up in our back yard.

Great news! I feel I can make reservations now. I've been holding back.

Looks like we will be within walking distance of the concert (just kidding). The high school (which opened this fall, only grades 9 and 10 are there this year along with elementary kids brought over from a flooded school) is a skip and a hop from us. It will be interesting seeing Jackie who is in high school singing in a high school.

I'm OK with this, as long as I don't have to sit through a pep rally. I used to ditch those when I was in high school. I hated those mini Nuremberg rallies.

Sorry for the slow response. We were down for a day and a half moving the insides of our computer to a new case.

We drove by the high school today (again). Thought you might find this interesting. The video was made in April of this year. The auditorium (unfinished) is at about the 9:30 mark.
