I think I understand why Jackie hasn't been able to get a lot of traction with the pop crowed yet. This might sound silly but, I think part of the problem is that she is just too damned good. Miss Kitty's voice is just too purrr—fect. Part of what makes music popular is good rhythm, catchy melody, easy to remember, and lastly... anybody can sing along. Jackie is going to have to be very careful to not let her voice go into the stratosphere where nobody can sing along with her So... is there a grain of truth in what I say or am I just crazy. Please comment

Jackie a capella. It seems to be new and recorded at her home.

JACKIE EVANCHO 'Ombra mai fu' from Serse by George Frideric Handel
We’re very pleased to welcome for the first time to Opera Queensland, Jackie Evancho. Jackie appeared on the fifth season of America's Got Talent and quickly developed a huge following, enchanting audiences with her sweet voice. Here she sings Handel's much loved 'Ombra mai fu' from Serse, the 16th century work, featuring the Persian ruler Xerxes as its central character.
#AnAriaADay celebrates the diversity and power of opera and demonstrates the strength and resilience of Australia’s artistic community. All the artists performing in An Aria A Day are remunerated for their work, providing connection to their art form and income during these difficult times.
Your donation to #OperaQueensland helps us to support emerging artists and a return to the stage as soon as possible. Visit oq.com.au to donate.

This is so COOL! Can't be much, but at least she'll have some income during these lean times. And. it would appear that she is honing her classical voice again and it sounds fantastic! Lets just imagine a full gown, a full orchestra ... Oh My! Thank You Jackie for a brief but pleasant trip down memory lane! I wish with all my might that we take this trip frequently!

Classical, pop. Not either-or, but both-and (more). :-)

When I look at her competition, Jackie's problem is she beautiful in more of a cute way as opposed to the classical sexy, model way.

Jackie is a young, beautiful woman. As one ages, the look of the beauty changes, or matures, especially if one puts in the smart effort. A fine example is a woman that I met a few years back at a party in New York. Heidi Albertsen was born in Copenhagen, Denmark on September 1, 1976. As a young girl she suffered from obesity and eczema and was thus bullied in school. She managed to lose the weight and curb the eczema to the point that at 17 years old, in 1993 she became the Elite Model Look World winner and was now a supermodel. Here she is as the winner: As a supermodel Heidi has been seen on the cover of too many to mention magazines, a featured model for too many to mention fashion brands, on too many to mention TV shows, and worked for too many to mention major companies. Heidi has been in movies including an IMAX climbing film ( Kilimanjaro: To the Roof of Africa). She was Fitness magazine's Body of the Year in 2000. Here she is in 2010 at the Princes Ball Mardi Gras party where I met her. The other woman in the picture is Dayana Mendoza from Venezuela, who was Miss Universe 2008: Here Heidi is interviewed on Fox News where there are pictures of her as a chubby girl with eczema and how she finally said enough is enough when ridiculed and thru her personal effort to change herself, she became one of the world's great supermodels: Today, as a 43 year old, Heidi is still strikingly beautiful after giving birth to her son in 2016. Her beauty has matured over the years as she grew older. She looks "older" today than she did when she won the International model award in 1993. Here is her website: Heidi Albertsen
Obviously Heidi had a basic beauty, as Jackie does. So maybe Jackie can use Heidi as an example of how through personal, smart effort, one can enhance one's personal beauty to Olympian levels. Time will tell. And as a fellow New York City resident, Jackie's and Heidi's paths may eventually meet at some function. Would that be wild if Heidi could inspire Jackie to even higher heights.
