Two Hearts is #31 on the Amazon classical best sellers list. Awakening is #33. Gotta say, it's hilarious seeing what Amazon calls "classical".

I glad they are using the cover photo they are showing on Amazon. This photo with Jackie's face Photo-shopped on the second figure behind Jackie. Could it have been Rachel? Anyway, the Photo-shopped face seems to be slightly out of scale.

I don't care for either of these pictures. They tamp down Jackie's charisma. I like the pic on Someday At Christmas much better.

The Two Jackie's picture arrests the gaze. The two figures form the outline of a heart. The cover as chosen is nice but fairly run of the mill.

Official Album Cover Well, I take back run of the mill. Not many pictures of Jackie are that. This is pretty good.

Hmm. I think they are both Jackie. Her neck moles. The whole figure could be done with green screen or whatever.
And I disagree, sorry- I liked it and thought it much more creative and eye-catching; and evocative of the album's theme. Jackie-in-front is dreamy, ethereal- Jackie-behind looks right at you- down to earth, this is me, "heart and soul" as she said of her song-writing. And IMO a stunning picture of her.
Kind of funny her hair is flying in opposite directions, but that could be rationalized as a head toss.
The one they used is, as was said, "vanilla". They both appear to be Jackie right down to her arms, but they can do amazing things with Photo-Shop. The hair in different directions could be attributed to the fan blowing from just to the left of the camera, but what I don't like about this photo is that Jackie's head is larger on the right. It appears very disproportionate to me and makes the photo less pleasing to my eye. I do like the concept, though, but the execution is a bit off.

Official Album Cover Very elegant, beautiful as always. I don't think she can take a bad photo.

Until you said that, I thought you meant the other way around. So I guess I don't see a significant difference. On the right her head is tilted a little more down, so you see more of the top. You might be right about the position of the fan.

I used to post three or four times a year to the old board, I guess this board has the most JME traffic now? The new album got me out of my shell. The biggest thing I noticed was no POTO or Morricone songs, did anyone already mention that? I'm looking forward to her takes on Attesa, May It Be and A Thousand Years. There are definitely some songs that fall into what we used to call in the old days MOR (middle of the road), and it was somewhat pejorative among my musical friends. The Way We Were tops that list along with perhaps, Mamma and Have You Ever Been in Love. But I'm sure we've all had the experience of Jackie getting us to like songs we previously had not. I'd put How Great Thou Art on that list also, but I won't criticize what I think is mainly a very good marketing choice. I quite enjoyed the originals on Awakening and am disappointed not to see any on this album. As for Jackie's originals, I'm going to listen for the positives and pass over any negatives that might exist. If she knocks my socks off, great. If not, she's got plenty of time. Are there duets on the main CD? I thought I had read that somewhere.

I believe that A Thousand Years is a duet with Fernando Varela. Apparently one can see this duet next month on Fernando Varela's PBS special.

Are there duets on the main CD? I thought I had read that somewhere. As long as Jackie keeps singing MOTN in concert, I'm ok with her leaving POTO alone for a while. She could do some Les Miz. That would be cool. But I've listened to Nella Fantasia, Se and Your Love while getting ready for work this week. So, I'll miss Morricone more this time around than POTO songs. I've enjoyed various versions of Gabriel's Oboe (Nella Fantasia) for strings, cello, and classical guitar. But when Jackie lends her beautiful instrument to a Morricone work, it's something else entirely.
