I don't like seeing her drinking or being drunk. It's the only thing that she does that I don't like. I know she is a grown woman and she can do whatever she wants but I wish she wouldn't do it.

I don't like seeing her drinking or being drunk. It's the only thing that she does that I don't like. I know she is a grown woman and she can do whatever she wants but I wish she wouldn't do it. I very much doubt she's drunk. (anyone that drinks at all ever should probably get a bit drunk once, in trustworthy company that doubles as designated driver; it's a lesson on limits at the very least) Somewhat less than two drinks a day for men, or one for women (and she's small so it better not be too strong) is somewhere between minimally harmful and perhaps even beneficial (red wine), if one is not on meds that alcohol should not be consumed with, and if one's upbringing and ancestry do not suggest one is vulnerable to alcoholism. Even for the marginal case of minor mood altering, the least amount of alcohol that will help one relax is perhaps less harmful than other alternatives, unless you expect someone to control all their issues with prayer, meditation, or sheer stubborn will power. I have trouble with the conversational situation of a retiree reunion (people I know and like but may not have talked to for six months or more), but a pint of not very strong beer stretched over 2+ hours with food and a glass of water is just enough to relax into conversation, without either going over the limit or ending up in "was that my outside voice?" situations. :-) Within sensible limits and context for those not specifically vulnerable, it does NOT reflect adversely on character or judgement. Drinking on a day before performing is certainly not a good idea. Alcohol tends to be drying, and anything that takes the edge of one's control is NOT helpful. But coffee or real tea (herbal is usually ok if it's not too hot) before performing is not a great idea for the first of those reasons too, and sometimes the second (twitchy is not useful). And some say milk causes excessive mucus, although that's debated. Water is a great idea, but not to the point of needing unscheduled breaks. :-) Pilots are not supposed to drink for at least 8 hours (civilian absolute minimum, but you're still responsible to be fully functional afterward, or wait until you are) or 24 hours (military; also recommended for civilians) before flying. And not be under the influence of anything, prescription or otherwise, that would impair them. In addition to universal health, safety, and commonsense guidelines, various activities have their own additional guidelines.

So is Jackie's website domain ever going to be live again? I'm surprised she or her current team are either not aware or aren't doing anything about it. If the domain name is parked maybe something is broken with the domain renewal billing information? I remember recently it being mentioned but then nothing more was said about it which is why I'm bringing it up again just out of curiosity if anybody has any feedback?

I remember recently it being mentioned but then nothing more was said about it which is why I'm bringing it up again just out of curiosity if anybody has any feedback? Something like that happened before, but I don't think it took as long before it was fixed. I think the last redo was DIY with site builder tools; you can spend a bundle, but the result won't be (wasn't) always practical or even particularly better, although DIY tools (provided by some hosting services) weren't that great at the time of the version I was thinking of. GoDaddy can do domains, but also can do hosting (and has some DIY site builder tools). Given "whois" info, I think they still own the domain; but the hosting may have expired. That can be as easily broken as having not updated credit card info when expired/renewed.
