He played a cowboy (Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid). And a reporter (All the President's Men). The first film he directed (Ordinary People) earned him Oscars. He did lots of other stuff too. And he started a film festival (Sundance). Those things (plus his age) would easily qualify him as a "legend" in Hollywood.

BTW, the late Charleton Heston was also a Hollywood legend...

See this is the kind of stuff you post that sets my teeth on edge. Robert Redford has a 60 year long resume' in Hollywood as an actor, director and producer in film and other media, plus he gives tens of thousands of dollars to Charities such as the Senior Actors' Home and many other good causes all over the world. That kind of generosity and longevity qualifies him as a Legend in my book.

What makes you think his status as a Legend in Hollywood is "debatable"? Do you think he hasn't done enough? Or is it his politics you don't like? I've seen enough of your posts to know which side of the political fence you're on and it is far to the right of Redford, so I think that's what set you off.
