www.facebook.com/groups/160024457441608/permalink/2183654398411927/Linda Young10 hrs. · Garden Grove, CA Last night was an evening to remember! My company “Elite OC Productions” is so proud to be a part of this historic celebration. Almost a year ago I was hired to produce the event together with two amazing Co-Chairs, Susan & Tim Strader and Jacqueline DuPont Carlson & Marc Carlson. Together with an very strong and dedicated committee, we raised more than $1.7 Million for last night’s event. The Christ Cathedral, formerly Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove, was lite up like a shining star and blessed with the voices of Jackie Evancho and Chris Mann accompanied by the Pacific Symphony. It was Magical! Our decor was inspired by the Christ Cathedral itself. We utilize plenty of clear glass, candelabras, chandeliers, mirror tops with white and silver linens. We complimented the modern clean look with lots of flowers inside and on top of the tables-capes. We had a lot of fun designing this event. Thank you to all the vendors who made this event incredible but especially a BIG THANK YOU to the Elite OC Productions team who worked tireless for this event. #eliteocproductions #christcathedral #dedicationcelebration #paulfennerfloraldesign #patina #kismetevents #signaturepartyrentals #mcnallyenteeprise #icebulb #hireelegance #orangecatholicfoundation #bleudhalia

All Bishops, not Cardinal's! Ok, that makes more sense. The non-black on their garb just looked way more red than purple to me in the pictures (if my understanding of these things is correct); although some shades of purple could be hard to recognize accurately in a photograph.

Beginning at 2:37 there are several images for the Baptistry Room. At 2:48 is an image of the mosaic at the bottom of the water. That set of letters/symbols looks to be a large centered X with an A (maybe Alpha?) on the right, with a P (maybe Phi?) in top center that is elongated to go through the center of the X, and on the left the Omega symbol. I am not Catholic so I have no idea what this symbolism means. But, my mouth dropped to the floor when I saw it. I am a brother in the National Service Fraternity known as Alpha Phi Omega (APO). Today both men and women can become members. Founded in 1925, APO is on over 375 campuses, and continues to provide more service on more campuses than any other collegiate service organization. In APO's history there have been more than 470,000 members. Through its mission of preparing campus and community leaders through service, APO is committed to bringing together college students in a national service fraternity in the fellowship of principles derived from the Scout Oath and of the Law of the Boy Scouts of America; to develop Leadership, to promote Friendship and to provide Service to humanity; and further the freedom that is our national, educational and intellectual heritage. Founded on the Cardinal Principles of Leadership, Friendship and Service. APO provides its members the opportunity to develop leadership skills as they volunteer on their campus, in their community, to the nation, and to the organization. On my campus, APO ran a used textbook store on the upper floor of the Student Union building and did various other things to make some money to do our various service projects. We helped to fix/build city playgrounds, do cleanup projects, help repair summer camps, and do whatever else we thought we could lend a helping hand. As can be seen here, the APO service pin is in a very loosely similar layout as the mosaic in the Baptistry Room with a centered S instead of a centered X. apo.org/about-us/our-traditions/

X is for Chi in Greek and what looks like P is Rho in the Greek alphabet. The Chi-Rho monogram is used as a symbol for Christ, Christianity and Christians.

"The evening included performances by world-renowned singers Jackie Evancho and Chris Mann, both backed by the Pacific Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Albert-George Schram. Evancho opened with "Some Enchanted Evening," followed by "Think of Me." She later performed "How Great Thou Art" and "Ave Maria," among other songs. Mann's selections included "You Raise Me Up" and "Music of the Night," which he performed during "The Phantom of the Opera's 25th Anniversary Tour.""

It sounds like they did not sing a duet.

It is very sad, that we never got a sound document with the performance of Jackie from this event. I'm sure, it was "heavenly" since it happened in a cathedral
