For some reason, I find this one a tad creepy. This guy is talented, but he is definitely somewhat obsessed. I would have just been compelled to give that above post a thumbs down, but seeing that option was removed, I'm left to this option when I really don't like something. That's the idea, cer. It's respectful and considerate to offer a reason for being a "tad" disapproving. I'm sure yellowstone is not offended, but you might tell George what you think. George can read, and my words obviously speak for themselves.

Agree...the guy is enormously talented, but his apparent obsession with Jackie comes across as quite creepy. He is likely totally harmless, but it makes me cringe a bit to see the depth and breadth of his Jackie art, good as it is. Fair or unfair, it's my gut reaction to it.

donkey and cer,
Gut reactions are always welcome on the internet, things one wouldn't say to another in person.
Perhaps an understanding of the artist mind would change your perception. A dedicated artist is compelled to create, always challenging himself, thus producing a proliferation of works toward perfecting his skill, changing his perspective, altering his medium, hoping to produce his "best yet". Fascinated with a subject? Probably. The great masters were fascinated with certain subjects producing hundreds of drawings and paintings, most they considered failures while some became legendary and a few iconic. Few have seen the throwaways. A professional photographer "brackets" his shots in the expectation, or hope, that he will have captured that special, one-in-a-hundred image. Obsessive? No. Prolific? Yes. A person who feels repulsed by an artist's fascination might be compelled to call it "creepy".
George has presented his images openly and honestly as he has progressed, regardless that he probably considers many of them not among his best works. But, "beauty is in the eye of the beholder". We see only his portraits of Jackie, because he is offering them to her fans. We haven't seen his whole body of work that includes other subjects. George is a professional who is committed daily to his art, and we have been the fortunate recipients of his visions of Jackie.

Look at it this way: There are those that think that we, that post on Jackie's forum, day and night and follow this young girl from childhood to adulthood for years, might be a bit obsessive and creepy too!! We see only what George is willing to show us! We don't see the other creepy images that he's obsessive with! George Dunham is a Jackie fan and he shows his adoration as a fan by his art! While we show our adoration with words and pictures, and the purchase of concert tickets. Nothing obsessive or creepy about George! He's just one of us, only different.

He's just one of us, only different.
That is a understatement.
