I agree in the version of Nella Fantasia as performed on The Talk was great sound production and her ability to show emotion could not have been better. I doubt that she will produce a better rendition than this perfect one. If perfection is deemed the ultimate then perfection cannot be bettered.

I must add to my previous. Sharon Osborne's tearful reaction made it OK for me to also have eyes that shed excess moisture. In the same them, the following clip of Jackie singing Angel on the Tonight Show is a fine example of a difficult-to-repeat rendition. I believe the other guests appearing on the show and congratulating Jackie at show's end is verification that this was another truly memorable performance. Just as a one in a million singer like Jackie come along, so does that rendition or original performance unexpectedly appear. She again nails this performance perhaps never again to be achieved with such emotion and sound.

Having just re-read my previous two posts, it occurred to me that I might sound as if I preferred her singing when she was a mere child. Au contraire, I will agree that her expressed emotions were a huge WOW factor back then for me. Today I admit I maybe somewhat greedy and expect that superb ability to be present in everything she does, except maybe driving a car.

The two videos in this thread were in the year after AGT and she was not using a hand held mic. The full body motion and use of her arms added an extra emotional demension to her performances that I really liked. Her self direction was like watching a ballet and her facial expressions were showing how much feeling she was emoting. Her present day use of hand mic limits that somewhat. That being said I still believe she is among the greatest singers of the generation and gives 110% at every appearance. Here is one I wish she would record for album. This is Yarasway wedding footage.
Her first solo concert in Houston was absolutely fantastic! To open that performance with 'Lovers' just Wowed the audience and the whole world became aware that this was not going to be a one-hit wonder. (For new members that have not seen that Houston Concert, you need to see and hear it! After AGT she has never competed again and has continued to perfect her gift that reaches many many people. The track she is on will continue to open up to the entire world once she turns eighteen next year. I still think (hope) 'We ain't seen nothing yet! The best is yet to come. Jackie still has that same drive and goal to be at the top of her own niche which she is creating. I am sure there will be more David Foster in her future. Her Dream With Me album was a masterpiece and she radiates even more when performing with him. I see Grammies in her future!

Here is a youtube video of Jackie's full wedding concert for David and Yara Shoemaker. For some reason it said Pie Jesu was not available for the editing of this video. I've also provided a link to the Pie Jesu performance from the wedding. The wedding concert video The Pie Jesu performance from the wedding And a comment from the Wedding Concert I think is so very true. tosius2 2 years ago (edited) You can have the most regal setting, the most prestigious guest list and the finest cuisine in the world but if you want a really classy event, fly in Miss Jacqueline Marie Evancho to perform, it simply can't get any better than that.!!

It really 'Doesn't get any better than this' group and this singer.

For me, one of the greatest performances of this song of all time. Jackie Evancho: The Lord's Prayer - 2011 Summer Concert Tour at Dallas

This is genuine personal emotion. Jackie was so immersed in her own memories that she took the song to an intimate deeper level. Her performance was flawless; and that one little smile at someone let you know she was consciously connected with the audience. But, you could see in the pained expression on that beautiful face, she was singing from a secret place of sadness. Jackie turns reality into artistic perfection and makes a song her own. But where does it come from in a person so young? I don't know, but no one does it better. Jackie was still only 14

It looked like she exited the stage in a hurry, or did the video end too Soon?

It looked like she exited the stage in a hurry, or did the video end too Soon? From what I understand, she left the stage and there was concern about how she was feeling, although someone who had attended the concert commented on the video that she returned cheerfully.
