Is it just me or is it disturbing how jealous and immature Juliet is in this sneek peek? Responding to Jackie when she states to Juliet "you used to be the most creative one in the family" and Juliet responds "And you stole it from me..." Mocking Jackie in the theater: "I just want to help the world..." I share your sentiment, rick. Although, I feel compassion for Juliet having struggled with her identity from a very young age, and also envying Jackie's success. What I find more disconcerting is her statement, " I just want to be close with Jackie again like we were....I miss my best friend". However, I will refrain from any conclusion given that it might be taken out of context in a trailer. Actually, no judgments or conclusions should ever be taken from a disjointed short clip of an hour long program.

I don't think this special is a good career move for Jackie. The way she is being presented people might decide they just don't like her and never buy her music.

In my opinion Juliet is a 19 year old adult who doesn't live in the house anymore so she shouldn't even be in this special or series if it comes to that. She isn't "Growing Up Evancho."

If the show were about Jackie's career, if it showed her in the studio working and practicing songs, if it showed behind the scenes at her concerts it would be much more interesting.

Let's hope for Jackie's sake it has more relevance than so many other celebrity reality shows.
I'll defer comment on the sibling rivalry depicted between the two eldest, for now.
Gene Simmons had a pretty good run with his version and it was much better than the Osbourne's,

Is the facebook page for the TV station open for comments from Pitt residents only? If not, how does Lisa know all the bad stuff came from locals? Yes, I'm easily confused. Love your avatar bro!! Thank you, Not many folks seem to remember the comic strip, but it was one of my favorites during its run.

Juliet is pretty basic to "growing up Evancho" to all the family, maybe especially Jackie, and what she has been up to lately. You can't sweep her under the rug.

Juliet DID grow up as an Evancho, and 19 year olds still have some growing up to do.

Hopefully there will be a good deal of that, and more if there are additional shows. It does seem like it is principally about Jackie; Juliet is added spice of controversy. edit add: If, as they say, views support additional shows, response will tell them what aspects people are more interested in. If people aren't interested in Juliet, she'll appear less in (a) future show(s). Maybe it will resolve the debate for those who wonder if the whole Juliet thing is good or bad for Jackie's career. But don't expect Jackie to quit supporting her.

More surprising to me was "Who says grain?" Hard to believe even a young reader had not come across that commonplace in print. But everybody has gaps. I guess she didn't take Wood Shop.

Gene Simmons had a pretty good run with his version and it was much better than the Osbourne's, Hopefully they won't over-emphasize it, but my guess is we'll see a more realistic picture than we have been granted until now. Anybody that grew up in a big family knows it couldn't have been all sweetness and light. Presumably the E's have already seen it and they seem to approve, so it must not be a hatchet job.

Looks like this special could be a pilot for a reality show. ....complete with 'F' bombs. I think you're right - I happened to catch a short bit or promo from something else on TLC - Bruce/"Kaitlin" Jenner or something like that - and it all fell into place. I figure TLC has fallen far short of whatever it was when it was The Learning Channel - much like The History Channel did once the new History discovered Ice Road Truckers and Ancient Aliens!

I had to reply--- I posted this on another forum ( not Amazon) After viewing the clip, here is my take for whatever it is worth:
As you must remember, I predicted they would go for a reality show at least a year or more ago, when Miss Evancho started having her transgender sister appearing with her on television in all of her interviews. Juliet got a ton of publicity on the tail of the Caitlin Jenner "reveal" at the time, and I personally said that I thought the Momager ( Mrs. Evancho) was trying for a t.v. show.
The reality of reality shows is that there has to be "drama" or people will not watch. So, in a way, the producers have to make "characters" out of the family. My guess is these are the "characters" the family will play:
Lisa Evancho-- the tough, foul mouthed matriarch who rules the roost And as she stated "Superstar" daughter's career Mike Evancho ( the father) A man who is pretty much passive and is ruled by his wife and the oldest girls. Jackie Evancho-- The pretty teen age Diva with a sense of entitlement, who gets her way. Juliet Evancho-- the Transgender sister who wants to compete with said Diva Zack Evancho -- the kid who honestly does not want to be there at all ( kind of like Anna Nicole's son, Daniel on her Anna Nicole reality show years ago did not) Rachel Evancho-- the youngest daughter -- not sure. Maybe the normal one??
Anyway, I plan to watch it. As I said, i want to see the boyfriends-- especially the one who wants to marry the transgender sister. Also, the behind the scenes stuff at concerts, etc could be interesting as well.
