Ladies and gentlemen, place your bets! Dollars to donuts, it is not Jackie singing. .. And the songstress is not even singing in English. This is a lot of fun, and I'll tell you what, it's not as easy as it sounds (pun intended). www.lutanho.net/jackie/test/

Got 30 of 40. It was a hard battle That's a very nice site for testing one's ear. I was surprised I didn't do as well as I thought I would, but those one noters got me half the time. I think it would be nice to know who the voices belong to when it isn't Jackie.

But I got a score of 174 right out of 201 samples. How good of a score is that?

First she is singing "ah" in the intro rather than "ooh" as Jackie does. Her presentation is slightly more powerful and doesn't have Jackie's signature tone in the high notes nor the depth and timbre of jackie's in the lower register. The finish is abrupt with an echo effect compared to Jackie's characteristic passagio to falsetto which she uses to make the note linger and fade. Listen to Jackie's recording, then this one and hear the difference in the overall impression.

In my unsuccessful search for the singer of Set Me Free in the Equestrian Globe video above posted by mariel, I came across this cover posted July 31st. I'm not familiar with the artist and found no wikipedia page for her. Edit add: Lady Delwynne 1 day ago (Youtube video reply) Thank you! Yes,the original version is always the best,so I can't argue with that. Jackie is a wonderful vocalist. ^_^ If you're interested in listening to my original work, please check out my project's channel:

BTW on that I got the first 7 correct, missed one, and decided not to spend more time on it.

Judging by the fact that the comments on the Equestrian Globe video are all in German (?) this seems to have been a German promotional piece. Consequently, my assumption is that the singer was used to sing in German, if that is the language sung in the piece, by a singer unacknowledged. I can't find any information so far, but I would like to know why Jackie's recording was not used, and who the singer is. I expect that Jackie received remuneration. Any ideas?

Jackie was designated as an 'ambassador' for the production of Troy. The definition of an ambassador, beyond the one we normally may think of, representing a country, includes someone designated as an advocate who informally represents someone else's purposes, in this case the production company and its creative endeavors. She provides a 'voice' both figuratively and literally. If we accept that definition, anyone else chosen by the company, can act as an ambassador in Jackie's absence and has done so. As far as being compensated for representing the purposes of the production, my hunch is 'yes'. Her trip to China was probably paid for as well.

Which print size is more easy to read .......on eyes of the ones who read ? I find BOLD type to be hard on my eyes. The font on this forum is set at medium which I believe is 16 pt. It should be big enough for everybody. I think one of the things some people find annoying about your posts is the font size and that you use BOLD a lot.
