sing.snap.and.share.for.godTonight I got the opportunity to see one of my childhood idols perform. I remember first watching Jackie when I was merely 9. I sat there in complete awe. Ever since then I've followed her journey as an artist and as I got to sit and watch her perform tonight I felt like a little kid again, in complete admiration and knowing that I want to do EXACTLY what she does. A base in classical music with a mix of musical and pop and her own songwriting. Traveling all around doing what she loves. Not only that but she is a Christian and supports LGBTQ+ rights. She was and still is a huge inspiration to me and I would LOVE to meet her someday. officialjackieevanchoThank you so much sweetie I'm so glad you liked the show!! It's people like you who keep a smile on my face!! You inspire me! ♡ https://www.instagram.com/p/BVD3tvPH-i3

Thank's to Len Rausch Here are a few of my photos from, and some comments about, Jackie's phenomenal performance at the Midland Center for the Performing Arts, tonight. A sizeable, however somewhat subdued, audience was in attendance. Without question, Jackie's "How Great Thou Art" was the offering that struck a chord w/ everyone and brought the house down. The SO seemed to go on forever, and deservedly so. Coupled w/ Jackie's sentimental intro, and then her mesmerizing performance, it was impossible to hold back the emotions. It still gets to me, just thinking about it. Aside from a few sound system issues, early on,, it was another spellbinding Jackie concert that we have all come to expect and to relish in. It was a milestone performance for me, personally, and I was blessed to have the opportunity to discuss it briefly w/ Jackie, later. All in all, an absolutely wonderful night to remember 4ever. I can't wait for Jackie's next concert, as it couldn't possibly come soon enough! Cheers! www.facebook.com/groups/160024457441608/permalink/1251420971635279/

I made it to the venue without a hitch and quickly gave away the Jackie buttons I brought. People kept refusing them and asking how much they cost. When I said they were free they took one. I took my seat at 7:00 and the concert started promply at 7:30. Mike came out on stage a few times before the concert started. He still has a beard.
For the first set Jackie was wearing that brown vertical striped dress we've all seen pictures of. It came to mid thigh. The second set dress was white or creme colored and covered with fringes. It came to just above the knee and reminded me of those dresses flapper dancers wore in the 20's. I guess the gowns are a thing of the past.
I thought the video screen would really annoy me, but it didn't. It was off most of the time Jackie sang. It was on for Safe And Sound.
Jackie was talkative throughout the concert. When she was doing the medley she would start talking as soon as she finished a song so we didn't get to applaud until the end of the last song. That was different from Merrilville.
Jackie was in fine voice. She has never sounded better. She was accompanied by Peter and his backing tracks as well as by eight musicians, six violins and two cellos. I couldn't hear them at all. They were drowned out by the backing tracks. I thought Jackie's mic could have been turned up a little. At times the backing tracks were so overpowering I could only barely hear Jackie. Jackie only sang two songs I don't like, May It Be and Pedestal.
Jackie got three standing ovations, for How Great Though Art, Lovers, and Nessun Dorma. The biggest response of the night was for How Great Thou Art. The least response was for Pedestal. Jackie sang Vincent, but she called it Starry Starry Night. I was choked up throughout this concert and had a lump in my throat. The little girl is completely gone from Jackie's stage persona. At one point Jackie said she wishes she had a voice like Celine Dion and then added, "I have a nice voice or you all wouldn't be here."
It was a great concert and Jackie was wonderful.

It seems that Scott Bozack is enjoying being part of the Jackie scene.

Did Joe Stumpf give her the tickets? from Stumpf's YouTube account: "I saw a comment for Jackie's Midland post where a woman lived in Midland but couldn't afford tickets to see Jackie. So I bought her 2 tickets for her and her 11 year old daughter. She loved the Jackie concert. So she sent me these videos as thanks." Edit: I originally typed Yahoo. I meant YouTube.
