I now count 485 tickets sold. Coming right along. That's more people than I think were at Merrilville and tickets have only been on sale five days. Don't worry. All of the concerts Jackie has done in Michigan half the tickets were sold in the last two or three weeks. There will be a good crowd in Midland.

This concert is sponsored by a bank and a business services company. I've decided that I'm going to contact sponsors of Jackie's concerts and thank them, at least the ones in my area. I'm not going to ramble on with OTT stuff, tell them Jackie makes me cry and all that, just politely thank them for helping bring a world-class talent to the area. This same philanthropist, Jo Ann McGrath, has sponsored three concerts of Jackie's at the McCallum Theatre in Palm Desert. She first did it because she felt the McCallum was a more appropriate venue for Jackie than the local casinos. She's 82 now and I feel I should thank her.

I now count 782 tickets sold. I might be off a seat or two, but that's still good. Tickets have only been on sale for two weeks.
