Has anyone checked if that is typical for late shows there? I can certainly see why the Thursday late shows are a difficult sell, but I would think that the Friday one should be better. In any case, having the two early shows almost sell outs is better than the early dire reports. I know she is young and tough, but I hope she has worked on her body clock. 10:00pm in Seattle is 1:00am in Pittsburgh. Over at 3:00 AM. I'm pretty much done by 7:00 pm. Best of luck. This was very much in my mind when I attended the filming of MOTM at the Orpheum in Los Angeles when she was still only 12. It was scheduled to begin at 8 pm but in fact she didn't take the stage until after about four songs by The Tenors, so probably between 8:30 and 9. Filming lasted over two hours including a couple of breaks, so it was after 11 pm when it "wrapped." Like you say, that was after 1 am Pittsburgh time, but at the end Jackie seemed as fresh as ever!

Great setlist. Look at those last four songs. What a way to bring it home. I'm glad to see MOTN late in the show. It never seemed like a first half song to me. I noticed this comment after I posted mine regarding the last 4 songs. I feel pretty smart because of that and my respect for your general taste in music whether it's Jackie's or others'. I only want to say that MOtN to me is one I feel belongs anywhere because it is a quality piece that can be used to keep interest in a show. But there would have to be more quality music to tie up any loose ends if MOtN is sung too early. In this case, I think the order might just be perfect I didn't know til now that I can like my own posts.

During the SFTSS tour Jackie would sing The Lord's Prayer right before intermission. I remember walking wobbly-legged and dry-mouthed to the concessions after some of those. BTW, it's been said that TLP has been the only song Jackie has sung at every concert. If that was true, then this is another big change, as I don't see it on the setlist. Maybe it's still an encore. Song order is, I think, planned out. Track listings on albums, as well. I'd guess that God Bless America, followed by a dedication to Juliet was intentional, to effect the same sentiment she expressed when Together We Stand was released.

Thanks to the Amazon forum Pedestal has been echoing in my head. I think I like it. It's a very personal song for Jackie.

The song is Viva La Vida from Coldplay's same named album. Jackie also covers Fix You from an earlier Coldplay album X&Y. Thanks Richard. I didn't know the title of that piece is Viva La Vida. I just went by what I heard that I could decipher over the radio. Viva La Vida it is then.

I see Peter Keisewalter, Jackie's musical director, is in attendance for Jackie. There's a music man for sure. I also notice he's back in black. I'm guessing he deemed the drab brown pullover and slacks he wore over the Christmas season were just too bright for regular musical director duties. Lol
Edit: I also just noticed Someone to Watch Over Me is on the set list. I've loved that song since I was a boy. So unabashedly feminine. I hope Jackie keeps it in her repertoire for some time to come. Jackie will be able to polish this till it's as Kleenex worthy as any song she's ever sung.

Re the setlist for Jackie's café/bistro appearances, Jackie and Peter seemed to have added some romantic songs apropos to the setting: Someone to Watch Over Me, The way We Were & We've Only Just Begun.

I am beyond happy with WOJB. My previous, and only, very most favorite singer is Karen. College years revisited. Like many, if not all, of us carry our Jackie CD's on trips. Just made a quick 20+ hours ride to Florida. This time besides my three regular Jackie's I threw in my two Carpenters - Greatest Hit (double CD with 20 songs EACH) and the Christmas one. Kind of wish the trip was longer. Anyway, TE could do a lot worse with more of their songs. 'I Know I Need To Be In Love' is a lesser known but is really great.

Being a fan of Louis Armstrong, Mike E must be familiar w/ Ella Fitzgerald as Louis and Ella sang many duets together. I've just been listening to the Essential Ella Fitzgerald which includes such classics as (Dancing) Cheek to Cheek, The Nearness of You & Dream a Little Dream of Me. I hope Mike slips a CD of Ella's into Jackie's CD player one of these days.
