The last time Jackie performed at the Celebrity Theatre in Phoenix, there were many unsold seats as concert day approached. It was nearly full for the concert. A few things were done to get tickets in the hands of more people. Two that I remember were a newspaper giving away tickets with subscriptions and also Vet Tix, an org that provides free event tickets to currently serving military personnel, veterans and their families. One veteran took his grandchildren to Jackie's concert, their first ever concert. I am sure you are correct. Hopefully we will see some more sell as the day approaches. Whoever they go to, it will be a fantastic concert. I'm not saying any of this will be done for this concert. I was just adding to your suggestions, based on what was done in Phoenix. Jackie had broken the two year rule by booking the same venue a year later. Last year when she returned to AZ she did a smaller venue in Tucson.

You can't help but Wonder why the ticket sales have been so seemingly slow at the Benedum. I wish every concert could be a sell-out. I guess it is just disappointing to see so many empty seats. Wish there was something that could be done. It seems like before I saw a thread that was on here about concert promotion ideas. Sometimes it has to be done. And I think cancelling concerts is definitely a bad idea .. I just wish there was some way they could turn ticket sales around. Just to keep everything going in the right direction A few days ago schrodinger counted seats sold and came up with 950. That looks a lot worse at a 2800 seat hall like the Benedum than it would if it were a smaller 1200 seat hall.

It's going to be a fantastic concert, and Jackie, being the pro that she is, will perform no differently than she would to an audience of 2,800. And we will respond with the resounding applause that she always earns and deserves!

...This sounds like something a 'cat' type liberal would say. Not likely in cat's case. He lives in Texas, not Pennsylvania, LOL. Jackie is doing lots of local promo, & may yet do more. As others have pointed out, there are tricks to fill seats. More than 900 tickets have been sold, but it's a large venue. We'll see how it goes.

Jackie sold out the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts a month ago, capacity 1,721. But Cerritos is accessible to both Los Angeles and Orange counties, total population about 13,000,000. Pittsburgh's population is 304,391; the metro area 2,360,867, per Wikipedia. Hometown or not, Pittsburgh is a smaller market, 23rd largest media market in the U.S.

Some Jerk on face book post this crap: I have some devastating news and realization: Jackie hasn't done this yet and I hope she doesn't have to, but if Jackie has to cancel her concert in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania at the Benedum Center on March 5 because of low ticket sales because of her inauguration performance for Donald Trump, then Jackie will never be able to give a concert in Pennsylvania ever again unless she redeems herself in someway which I don't think she can but I might be wrong. Which is very sad because that was one of my goals in life: To see Jackie in concert in Pittsburgh, PA or anywhere in Pennsylvania. 😢 Don't get me wrong, I'm hoping that Jackie DOESN'T have to cancel her concert in Pittsburgh on March 5 just like everyone else but if she DOES have to cancel it, it's because she performed for Donald Trump at the Inauguration. Which sadly is what I thought would happen if Jackie DID perform for Donald Trump. Which she did. Think about this: If she has to cancel her concert at the Benedum Center in Pittsburgh, PA because of low ticket sales because she performed for Donald Trump, then Jackie will NEVER be able to give a concert in Pennsylvania ever again! This sounds like something a 'cat' type liberal would say. Would the admin please remove the above quoted post?

The Benedum concert is sponsored and won't be canceled. Sponsored concerts are never canceled.

Getting up VERY early tomorrow to go to The Burgh. My first Jackie winter concert that's not in California, Arizona or Nevada. I'm bringing my bad@#$ Gustbuster umbrella. A fan friend suggested to me that I pick up some Pittsburgh Dad hot sauce at Giant Eagle. I just might do that. I'll let everyone know if the Benedum looks deserted. At intermission I'll take a poll of the people who didn't show up and see if it's because of Trump, Juliet or pop songs.
