One of the first movies I ever saw was Pinocchio. Cliff Edwards (Ukelele Ike) sang its unforgettable signature song, When You Wish Upon A Star. I was 5 or 6 yo when I saw the movie and heard Cliff Edwards voice. I was moved to tears then by the movie and especially by Edward's inimitable rendition of that song. I still choke up a little when I hear it. Jackie's best rendition of it in my opinion was the one she made for her Dream With Me album and I think the best of any since Cliff Edward's. The last time she sang it was for the Pope's visit to Philadelphia in 2015. Here's both Jackie and Cliff singing, When You Wish Upon A Star .. "your dreams come true".

Thanks for posting this comparison. Haven't heard the original in a while...magical stuff. And Jackie's version of course is awesome as well.

The last time she sang it was for the Pope's visit to Philadelphia in 2015. Jackie has actually has sung it since the Pope's Visit like during her concert in Ocean City NJ on 7/29/2018, probably others. Love her version, but then again I haven't heard a song she's performed I didn't like. Well, OK, not a fan of Moon over the Ruined Castle, but other than that....
