Here is another excellent video of Jackie performing The Impossible Dream. In this one she is holding the mic and working the stage. I love seeing Jackie react to the audience's responds to her performance.
A comment by tosius2 in the video's comment section, Enchanting and magical, I've never seen or even heard of a 12 year old child who could completely capture and hold an audience for over an hour. Unquestionably the most compelling performer on the world stage today. Angelic voice breathtakingly beautiful.

I don't know how I missed/overlooked this thread for over a year. Looks like a lot of other fans just found it today too. We love us some early Jackie.

Miss Evancho has stated that her mom teaches her how to show emotions on stage since the beginning of career .

I have never heard Jackie state that and would be very interested in seeing the link to that statement. I recall Lisa providing a meaning to foreign songs to make it age appropriate or with a meaning that Jackie could relate to and enable her to attach emotion to that altered meaning provided by mom. Lisa even influenced lyric adjustment of songs so as to be more age appropriate and meaningful for Jackie to add her emotions according to how she understood the song.
That is one of the biggest issues for young child singers, they lack the life experience to understand the emotion needed for the song. Lisa tried to provide a meaning to the song that Jackie could relate to and enable her to add emotion to a song for better presentation.

Miss Evancho has stated that her mom teaches her how to show emotions on stage since the beginning of career . She is 18 now, so I would think she probably doesn't need her mother to help her out with those sort of things as much as she used to.

Miss Evancho has stated that her mom teaches her how to show emotions on stage since the beginning of career . She is 18 now, so I would think she probably doesn't need her mother to help her out with those sort of things as much as she used to. Jackie once stated in an interview that she often had no recollection of what her hands/arms were doing when she was so immersed in a song. I believe initially, Lisa tried to help break an unconscious action by Jackie where while singing she would often grab hold of her dress. We have all seen that was not terribly successful as Jackie stated she did not know or control many of her body/arms/hand movements.
IMO, the emotions that she projected were not contrived but were in fact natural and spontaneous based upon her understanding of what she was singing and feeling.
