Who would be foolish enough to go through the trouble of scheduling a concert of her's now. When she so casually cancels them with out giving any excuse Dang Rickky, just because she didn't call YOU with her reason for cancelling doesn't mean she didn't explain the circumstances to the venue(s). Whoops! It's time for yet another agog periodic red faced apology. I read at the Amz site that the venue said no reason given. Sorry Rickky.

Good keep making excesses for her she is almost 18 now not a little girl. She is down to gaining only 9 instagram followers a day after pretty much giving up twitter and facebook. And other artist do not cancel a bunch of concerts and not give a reason on their site, at least none as small as Jackie that needs to start growing again. It's about time we hear that she is taking a break from her career and she just fades into the sunset along with so many child stars that couldn't transform into a adult career.

I don't doubt that something real...has happened. The handling is just so unprofessionell. People have to plan vacations, work shifts for her concerts...month before. I found the background infos at Night of the Proms so interesting. I was like a good oiled machine. From catering, truck drivers to Peter Cetera everyone worked absolutely professional and showed respect to each other. You cannot act on this level like...Oh no, today ..without a really good excuse. In December Lena who won ESC in 2010 made a public video. Sorry, my new album does not work out as planned. I have to rescedule my 2018 tour. That's professionalism. Jackie Evancho has to make a statement, nobody needs to privacy details, but some basics...instead of daily ne concert dates in summer etc. If she has flue, voice chord problems, boyfriend problems, morning sickness (sorry, but this strange handling) or whatever - she should at least tell people who buy/bought tickets a basic plan. She sells her voice/music. No restaurant survives if its like a lottery if one gets something to eat, no amazon, no McDonald even Apple would survive.

It's about time we hear that she is taking a break from her career and she just fades into the sunset along with so many child stars that couldn't transform into a adult career. Rickky Rickky Rickky, do try to keep up. "Good keep making excesses for her she is almost 18 now not a little girl." By "making excesses for her" I assume you meant making EXCUSES for her. My saying she didn't inform you is not "making [excesses] excuses." An excuse would be something like; "Miss Evancho had to cancel her appearance due to the emotional stress of her Awesome Boyfriend leaving her for her new big sister." Now THAT'S an excuse. As for your wishful, triumphal declaration that JME can't transition from kid star to adult star, well check your plumbing Rickky, cause that doesn't hold water either. While Jackie has always been a very pretty girl, her looks were not and are not the reason for her appeal to her fans. Neither is 'cute kid appeal' her selling point. Her voice is. And her voice is getting better each year. She also sings a repertoire that appeals to adults, though apparently not to Jackie herself. These same adults, across the country, would have attended additional concerts beyond the ones cancelled, if they had been scheduled. Jackie has no difficulty transitioning to an adult performer. Jackie could continue indefinitely making an excellent living far into the future. We know Jackie has had atrociously poor promo and communication throughout her career. We all pretty much agree her business management side deserves failing grades. We see her career in decline but we know it's not declining because Jackie can't deliver what people are willing to pay for. I'm a fan. I hope these cancellations are due to an upcoming change, led by Jackie, that we can all (except for the ones hanging around hoping to see her fail) be excited about.

Having not seen or heard from Jackie in 2018, and her leaving NY for home leaves a lot to one's imagination. And you have to face the possibility that Jackie having a 'boyfriend' and a place in NY that Jackie and Sam have started a family. So far we know that 9 concerts have been cancelled without any real reason. I know my wife and many other women consider Morning Sickness an acute illness. Pure speculation, but not totally beyond the realm of possibility...

Stephen Runnels No, they stopped selling online last week, which compelled me to call them this morning to make sure the concert was still on. Unfortunately the lady interrupted me mid-sentence to inform me the concert was cancelled. I would expect it to be listed as cancelled today. I called the Gallo center for the Feb. 17th concert, and as of this morning that concert is still on schedule.

"Under doctor's care for a flu illness". I hope this dispels some of the unsubstantiated inferences and critical conjecture floating around here. There's no reason to assume it's a "lie".

So her doctor knew a week ago that Jackie will be to sick to do a concert on Feb. 16 but will be perfectly well to do one on the 17 of Feb. No I do not buy that.

Richard,of course that would be absurd, but they only officially cancelled the one on the 16th today, so give the Gallo Center time to post the cancellation.
