Jackie sang Over The Rainbow here at Cerritos, as well as at Palm Desert. Here she had eight string players, six of whom were the same musicians from Palm Desert. They added two more violins, it seems. I was told by the locals sitting next to me that the mayor of Cerritos and a city council member were in the row in front of us. Jackie was happy and giggled a lot. I think a full house does that for her. She said right before Writings On the Wall that she just learned that the video had been playing behind her. It is different than the one previously released. It only shows Jackie in the tuxedo, not the bare belly outfit or the blue dress. Several parts get repeated and there is a lot more of Juliet, both due to repeating some parts she's in, like where she's looking down at Jackie over the railing, and more shots of her pointing the gun. There is one shot that pulls back for a long shot and shows both Juliet and Jackie aiming guns at each other. I don't recall that from the earlier release of the video, nor do I recall the shot of Juliet in profile, as she walks down the hallway. Jackie said it took two days to shoot both the WOTW and Safe and Sound videos.
People went crazy over Nessun Dorma, cheering as Jackie sang the third vincero. Caruso was even better than the day before. Jackie said it was challenging to learn it. No mention of why she chose Caruso to sing. I'd be curious to know why that song was chosen.

Probably she will get tears in her eyes, when she looks in an empty concert hall. I still hope, there is something wrong with the online seatmap. I really can't believe it. www.trustarts.org/performance/51030/tiers/show

A quick google comparing sizes of the California vs Pittsburgh venues: Heritage 802 McCallum 1,127 Cerritos 1,716 Benedum (Pittsburgh): 2,800 So Pittsburgh is a much larger venue.
However, Pittsburgh is a big place and Jackie's home town. A quick estimate shows about 650 seats sold. (23%). Disappointing, but approaching the Heritage attendance.
Any ideas about what we can do? - donate tickets to local music schools - letters to the mayor - swing a dead cat?

In comparison to Palm Desert, I thought that the crowd at Cerritos was MUCH more lively and demonstrative. The crowd at Cerritos also skewed much younger, so not much of a surprise. I was also fortunate, and had an RJE in Cerritos, though not saying exactly how it happened.

Also noticed at Cerritos, that during Nessun Dorma and also Lovers, she gets just a little bit of a "Tom Brady" expression, as she realizes what she can do. The future looks good.

Jackie's beautiful performance of her version of "The Lord's Prayer", as her encore number at Cerritos, CA. Just as she has done for all of her concerts. Simply breathtaking!

I mentioned above that the WOTW video was different than the YouTube version. Another change made since my previous concerts in November was a virtual photo album displayed on screen before the concert, showing pictures of Jackie both before and after she began her music career. One I found most interesting was one of Jackie with Dakota Fanning, another child prodigy. I was completely unaware that they had ever met. Does anyone know what event it was? I wonder if Jackie has ever met Dakota's sister, Elle Fanning, who shares the same birthday with Jackie.

Pretty sure that meet-up was backstage during the Oprah Farewell show.
