Blocking is away to avoid discussion, but at this point whatever..... Blocking is a cowardly act to avoid discussion, simply because most of the ones doing the blocking suffer from para Ostrich syndrome. I would love to see the BLOCK feature abolished in here, if possible of course. :-)

Second attempt to get this thread back on topic!
"Jackie Evancho at Palazzo Vecchio - 2015 Celebrity Fight Night Italy - All I Ask of You"
That was an historic venue for Jackie to have performed in, and no doubt a treasured experience for her at that age, among many. I've been there, and I was fascinated by the artwork and the culture. This particular performance therefore, has a special significance for me. AIAOY is of one of my favorites, pleased that she continued to perform it until her mid teens, as far as I know.

This is a nicely produced visual chronology from 2010 to 2014 published November 2018. I'm sure it's not new, but I don't recall having seen it.
During the close-up at the end, Jackie sustains the last note of WYWUAS for 17 seconds. I think it was her performance on Japanese Television.

She commanded the stage as a seasoned professional, leaving the sold out audience both spellbound and amazed with her talent, beauty and persona... In my mind, this performance epitomizes the magnificence of that PBS Great Performances concert. The elegance of the venue, the perfection of the orchestration, and Jackie's insightful interpretation of Ennio Morricone's masterwork together exemplify what made it one of the most memorable full-length presentations of her young career.

Jackie Evancho interview about Music Of The Movies PBS special This is definitely a nostalgic video, in my view, posted appropriately on this thread, Rob. It is difficult at times to know where a video should be posted. I am sometimes informed respectfully by PM that I've posted something on the "wrong" thread. If no one objects, I assume it's acceptable. Personally, any video with content about Jackie prior to age 14 I consider nostalgic, unless it's a "Tribute", fan made video.

Something significant to me about Jackie's preparation for making an album, including Songs From the Silver Screen, is that she actually researches the material. Having seen the movies prior to recording those very memorable songs indicates that she wanted to have some insight to the stories, or least an understanding of them from her perspective as a child. She could then reflect upon her impression to give an authentic interpretation of the songs.
For The Debut, she did extensive research into the Broadway musicals, having attended them all, to understand the plots and characters in order to choose songs that, as she said, "resonated" with her. That genuine interest in the background of her music is indicative of the artistic temperament, needing to identify with a song in an intimate way, either connecting with it through personal experience or simply drawing from a well of innate emotion to give it personal meaning. Making a song "her own" has obviously been important to Jackie, and part of her success in covering songs of various genres.

IMO one might call Jackie a "late bloomer" --- not from a physical sense but from an emotional and real life experience perspective. Jackie has been sheltered far more than normal and consequently she does not possess the real life experience to inject the appropriate emotion into her music without first researching the meaning of the music she wishes to learn but also she must understand the emotion that is required to get the lyrical message across to her audience. As Jackie experiences real life more then the emotion appropriate for any piece that she is learning will become more secondhand to her. Her delivery will become more natural. She is out of the cocoon and taking to her wings --- soon to become a seasoned flyer.

Geesh! 🤢 Maybe you would provide an explanation of your critical view of Gordie's comment expounding upon the previous post, with your own understanding. A one-liner doesn't reveal anything about your view of the subject and why you think his post is over the top. Anyone can throw a label at something. Offer some insight for discussion.

Someone was looking for examples of members who make OTT posts, well the above is a prime example. Geesh! 🤢 This is a 'Fan' sight where fans gather to make fan comments. For some reasons others like you like to disrupt any and every post that is positive. OTT is a compliment. Making a one word comment proves you only want to lower this site to your standard. I pity you. You are the one that is an example someone isn't looking for. There is really no reason to reply. You are blocked also and I don't care what you think. Go tell those others there is no droids here for them.
