If the premiere is in July, why is Jackie there now? Rehearsal in the arena? Does she have to coordinate with the performance of the horses in some way? Someone is spending some bucks to have her fly to China now and back again in less than two months. I thought they said she was recording the theme. Wouldn't they play at least some recorded (rather than live) music for such a large venue? Especially since the main attraction seems to be the horses... Or maybe you're right, it's rehearsal now & she'll go back for the performance(s). The movie composer, Sebastian Cano-Besquet, seems to have been impressed by Jackie, surely a good thing. She could do the recording in Pittsburgh (or anywhere) and it appears the orchestra was recorded in Hungary. So there must be a reason to have her physically present in China.

I hope this visit to China is well received and that she achieves the same sort of fame as Hayley Westenra enjoys. China could rival the US and Euro combined for a classical Jackie and may also be well received as an emerging pop singer.
This is simply a great piece of work for her and I would bet that those producing it saw Jackie in Cirque du Soleil.

I can't justify running 60 horses around the Birds Nest, 80k people, something just doesn't add up. My bet is like most arenas they will have a smaller venue off to the side and they are more likely to run as smaller production over a longer period of time. This reduces the risk. If it is successful they will extend the season and most likely move the production to another city, China as around 30 cities with more than 3m people. This is typical of most circus style startups.
Given this I would say Jackie's voice is recorded for the event, But she might turn up to the Premier.
Taking bets again.
miketigfan coughed up $20 to the Animal Friends of Pittsburgh. Thanks Mike Be warned if someone comes up with buying me a coffee in the US, I might be likely to turn up to collect. Make it interesting people.
As for now, usually these programs have financial backers, sponsors and she might be there now to promote the program to this group. A glorified meet and greet as you will, maybe sing them a song.

That's what I think too. She is there for promotional reason. That's why she called it a fun trip too.

don878 said: It is Jackie's style of vibrato at the end.
I'm not 100% sure that Jackie sings this song. The Video dated from Oct. 12, 2016 .

The production of the show is running by "Shadow Knight Culture Communication Co., Ltd" which was founded April 13, 2017
The Story: Shadow Knight Culture Communication Co., Ltd. is a new-type crossover cultural enterprise that focuses on planning, creation, large-scale theatre show production, TV series, stage plays, and grand shows.
Members of Shadow Knight A-lister producers, directors, designers, and top creation staffs of contemporary China (mainland, Hong Kong and Macao), who held key positions in a number of large-scale performances like the Opening/Closing Ceremonies of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and Paralymic Games, and large-scale music and dance epic The Road of Rejuvenation, etc. Our works have won many state-level art awards, including Wenhua Award, Five One Project Award, China Stage Art Excellent Project Award, and Lotus Award, etc. Those achievements make us a well-deserved leading force in the stage art industry of contemporary China.
While keeping an eye on theatre arts, Shadow Knight is also pursuing multi-line businesses including movies, TV series, and the music industry. All works with our investment or production were commercial and creative successes.
Our art production covers music, dance, movie, theatre, fashion, new media, large-scale outdoor performance and other fields. We are committed to promoting crossover cooperation between global artists.
Creative strength, brand reputation, and close and long-term cooperation with various cultural program production agencies renders Shadow Knight the capacity to provide clients with efficient, complete, multi-dimensional service for cultural program design, production solutions, and cultural program operation and management.
My comment I: This sounds not bad. The Troy production must be very expensive. Remember, the training in Germnay for nearly half a year, the shipping of 60 horses and stuff, and so on. There must be a lot of money behind it.
My comment II: If Jackie get a foot into it, it could be a big step in her career. I mean, if you can get (and if only a part) of the Chinese market, you can earn a lot more than from the US market.
Edit: Correction ... which was founded April 13, 2016

Since it's all about horses, I wonder if Rachel made the trip. Juliet had London and Thailand, Zach had Italy. Maybe Rachel's turn.
