WHO IS JACKIE EVANCHO?
Most of us who have followed Jackie from her performances on America’s Got Talent in 2010 (and some who knew about her before that time) have pretty much held her in very high esteem and put her on a virtual pedestal. Her high standards have been a beacon in today’s world of teenagers going wild. I do not know if she has a ‘dark’ side that is not shown in her stage and personal life. The entire album Two Hearts is actually 'showcasing' the various genres in which she performs. Really something for everyone! The songs that she has written, if you believe the words show a teenager looking for WHO IS JACKIE EVANCHO? Her life up till now has not been normal in any sense. She has claimed she has had an enhanced childhood, but half her life has been under a microscope and she seems to have weathered it all pretty well. Looking back at the Songs from the Silver Screen, her rendition of Reflections appears to have been something she would have written. Her body of work over the last nine years is worthy of an entire career for most artists. She cannot be classified as a Pop, Classical, Classical Crossover, Country or Rock. She has carved her own niche which defies being one or the other. In my opinion she has absolutely ‘nailed’ every song she has performed. I look forward to enjoying hearing her sing the rest of my life. Going where few dare to go, I will state for the record that I see a very beautiful (and sexy) young lady who has not used a lot of skin and flash-bangs to change her image. She still projects the clean-cut ‘girl-next-door’ all American Girl. At this time I am seeing Jackie trying new and different genres to further her career without going crazy. I keep recalling the interview many years ago where she actually stated that she wanted it all! Go Jackie Go!

Who is Jackie Evancho? I think the question should be: "What is Jackie Evancho?" Jackie is and has been , even as a child, what one would call an Alpha Female. www.lifehack.org/articles/communication/10-signs-you-are-alpha-woman.htmlRemember the bad little diva she and her parents tried to keep under control. Well, she was born to be a diva, the good kind. As an Alpha Female, Jackie, is among some of best women the world has ever seen and, in her case, heard.

Is she a singer wanting deep down to see her concerts seats with the youth of America as she sees on talent shows and the like , this will not happen till it is """ GO TIME """ , this may not be popular with her now base fans but is it her future as in successful as she wants or dreams .

Jackie has persevered in a career that has already become legendary to those who know her history. Tenacious in realizing her "dream", she has given the world something rare and unforgettable, the like of which hasn't been seen in a generation or longer. Undaunted by many challenges, she has proven to the world the strength of her character and her conviction to principle. Jackie has been persistent in fearlessly exploring her potential. Her many achievements cannot be denied. She is not a person to quit on anything because it gets a little rough, even when it seemed all was going against her. At times when fans have denounced her or given up on her for whatever selfish reasons they've had, she has moved forward with indomitable determination, and with gratitude to those who have continued to love and support her. It's as though Jacquelin Evancho had been born with a mission. And we are fortunate to witness its unfolding.
My admiration for Jackie is defined not only by my appreciation of her musical genius, exquisite voice, and phenomenal talent, but more by my respect for the person she is, a humanitarian, generous, forthright, sincere, courteous, caring and devoted to family. How extraordinary it is that a child and now a teenager has been regarded with such esteem. As a fan, I am compelled to promote her artistry and support her interests always, whatever they may be.

Some people have opinions of Jackie other then what she likes as "" just a girl "", I would call her a normal teen with a wonderful voice , they seemed to put so much high expectations from her that is unfair to me as I see it , the genius , phenomenal , extraordinary stuff does her no good imo as people read and say how many first place or Grammies etc has she won , how much credit does a girl receive that was born with a fine voice as it means more as to what she does with the voice in giving credit , is there ever a advertisement when AGT is not used from many years passed , how many great selling albums has she sold after Dream With Me , if not any how could this be if she is all the over the top opinions , how much does anyone know of her other then the show-biz teen , very little of course and yes time will tell how successful her career is , I expect good not extraordinary , dear Jackie I never put you on that high Pedestal for her benefit .

Go Jackie Go is interesting as to where ? , she is not selling much in albums or concerts seats , mommy sold a ton of her stuff on ebay , Jackie signed some albums for the first time , she sang at a cafe , she wants off the Pedestal to go where ? , is her career over or has been or hit it's peak , these are hard questions she is asking now with open mind and heart , no opinions count but the facts of the future as to where or what can she do to change if indeed her career as it stands is in troubled waters an can the Coast Guard save her .

The comments that "put Jackie on a pedestal" and what she reacted to were those describing her as "an angel", a "God send", a "heavenly gift" and other religious kinds of excessive adulation. I have never contributed to that nonsense. Regardless that those superlatives may persist, what's important is that Jackie knows herself. She has made her statement publicly and demonstrated it with "Pedestal", and has freed herself to move forward. There's nothing inappropriate or detrimental to Jackie's self-image or career in describing one's admiration of her artistry and appreciation of her character. One might prefer to think she is overrated. But, the uniqueness of her musical aptitude and skill is evident to anyone who is knowledgeable. Professionals and critics alike have referred to Jackie's musical "genius" with regard to her ability at a young age to understand musical structure, her grasp of the meaning of a song, her innate interpretive skills, and her quickness to learn difficult lyrics and in different languages. Why deny it? Her humility and common sense hasn't allowed her to become arrogant and full of herself. She could have become an obnoxious self-centered diva by now if she let that go to her head. Yes, she's "just a girl". But, it's evident also that she is a widely admired young lady who admits that she likes being thought of as a role model, proud to be considered in that way. Jackie is not lacking in self-esteem but, like anyone else, she seeks approval. She may be modest but not naive about her vocal prowess, and she would like it to be acknowledged. Like any performer, she appreciates applause and praise as well (expression of approval or admiration). Where does praise come but from those who recognize something extraordinary (very unusual or remarkable) compared to the ordinary and commonly expected. Repeated standing ovations and those who are brought to tears at her concerts are testament that Jackie is offering something exceptional, even phenomenal (personally perceived and inexplicable). Her father said in a Star 100.7 Pittsburgh facebook interview and performance that he "never tires from hearing of that kind of response" to Jackie, and it is what motivates her to perform. How is Jackie to know if "using her voice to do good in the world" is having that effect without acknowledgment from those who express their having been inspired or in some way profoundly affected? It's what gives her the incentive to perfect her art and develop her potential, to be the best she can be in order to continue doing the good she intends.
It's absurd and does her no justice to suggest that album sales, grammies or not, or lack of wide spread popularity determine the degree and measure of her talent. Many of the most popular, successful grammy winners are far less talented as vocalists than Jackie, having relied on technical enhancement, sexuality, sensationalism, vast promotion and indoctrination of the public. It's obvious, that is not Jackie's intention or need, but rather to bring joy to those who are astute and sensitive enough to recognize and appreciate what she has to offer from within herself through her music.

""not Jackie's intention or need "" how does anyone really know as she is still a minor , time will tell , never assume , yes a wonderful voice is not enough as then they must use talents of creatively .

Amen to that. Probably in the last half of 2011, perhaps in the shoutbox on the old Jackie Proboards forum, Lisa said something like "Jackie is one tough cookie. She is a very determined and patient little lady". Regarding the 2010 thru 2011 time frame, Lisa also said basically "Jackie worked her a** off". David Foster said about her in the short video Making of Dream with Me, "She has an amazing work ethic. She just works and works and works. It is amazing, she just never stops. She's like the little energizer bunny". Lisa also once said something like "Jackie doesn't let any grass grow under her feet". Jackie's self described qualities in the Awakening PBS special of niceness and humor will serve her well in her life. What she has accomplished as a child and teenager while still a minor going to school is astounding. As Ekzu Artzu once stated in one of his reviews, she is "sui generis", or one of a kind as an artist.
