I hope I'm doing this right, Songs from the Silver Screen should be represented here too. To start it off, here's two of my favorites, and all-time favorites, in my preferred live versions:
In this, even when Jackie herself said she didn't feel 100% due to jet lag, you can compare the studio, or Music of the Movies version and see that she has developed it in the short time since recording it.
Here, the emotion she shows when the camera zooms in close just blows me away every time.

Hey! I was there in Lancaster! It was a wonderful concert and only my second one. I love that photo above -- just terrific! Not sure what is in Jackie's other hand....don't think it was a water bottle although it could've been.

It was more of a general comment rather than addressing any one specific person and/or his post. I actually commented on several posts and the photo.

I guess you didn't notice that by using the Quote option, all of the posts are visible: Past and Present. Do me a big favor and don't reply to my posts again. Thanks. JMO ☺♪♫ Um.....just a gentle reminder that this isn't the Amzn board! . Courtesy and consideration towards others are the watchwords here. You might want to edit your post -- especially that last sentence......

You might want to edit your post -- especially that last sentence...... You are correct! I should have used the PM method instead of airing to all. My apologies. Yes, using a PM to discuss differences of opinion is a good solution, or simply editing out a section of a post which has the potential to be disruptive and disrespectful does the job! Thanks! We want this to be a pleasant, enjoyable environment for all members to be able to discuss Jackie's music and her career. Civility and respectfulness towards others really can make a big difference in this regard.

"Here, the emotion she shows when the camera zooms in close just blows me away every time."
Love it when Jackie totally immerses herself in a song. Of late she seems to really put her all into Made to Dream, but you are spot on with this performance. I kick myself for not attending this concert.

I kick myself for not attending this concert. She goes where the song will take her. That "My Heart Will Go On" performance is too much. Almost in the out-of-body-experience category.

Along with DWM her SOTSS has become one of my favorites. I especially am drawn to her interpretation of Se on the Today Show.

I have forgotten where I found this article that I am paraphrasing but I totally agree with the content... 'This is Pure Gold' Imagine you are a producer and you are asked to do a program of songs from the movies... You say OK and ask who is the star that will be singing and they say it is an 11 year old child... You laugh and say stop kidding, who is it again...You are told it is Jackie Evancho... You say WHO? What about my reputation you ask. Well PBS is putting up the money. Well, OK Who will be the MC? You are told she is going to do the whole show herself. WHAT, are you crazy? Who is this girl? It is Jackie Evancho and we are sure she can handle it herself. When we asked her if she could do it, she said sure, no problem! What would you have done???
The PBS show 'Songs From The Silver Screen' taped at the Orpheum theater in Los Angeles was the outcome.
Jackie Evancho is no ordinary singer. All of the gushing and worship she has received from her fans worldwide are testament to that. She has shown a maturity way beyond her age from before AGT. She has continued to grow as an artist and continually amazes me.
Her resume speaks volumes as to her accomplishments and need not be expounded upon here. Just read her bio. Too many people envy her and show their pettiness posting the hate.
I watched as she first announced the offer to sing for the inauguration and she did not say she was singing for Trump, but she was singing for the OFFICE. I could not think of a better person to sing our National Anthem...her rendition cannot equaled by any other singer. IMHO
My hope is that the whole world will recognize her pure talent and she will further enhance her career.
She may say she is shy and withdrawn but under that is force to be reckoned with...I would not want to be on her wrong side! With all the hate she has put up with and not reacted is another big plus for Jackie!
Once again Jackie...BE YOU! Congrats on the big gig!

Jackie's critics always said she'd have a short career, would DEFINITELY ruin her voice by age 15, & on & on & on. Where are they now? I can't hear them! LOL. Edit: OK, there are plenty of Jackie's obsessed critics over at Amzn. See below in this thread. But my points about their predictions of a short career & a ruined voice stand. No disasters. Her voice is getting more beautiful & powerful as she grows up. Over the past year & 9 months, she's sung with Andrea Bocelli (the top-selling classical artist in the world & one of Jackie's idols from a young age) twice & for the Pope's visit in Philadelphia. She's continuing to tour successfully. She's singing the Star Spangled Banner at the upcoming presidential inauguration. The Christmas album she just released maintained her string of #1's on the Billboard classical chart & even made it to #19 on the Top 200 main album chart. That's despite the facts that (1) only 3 numbers were actually new, & (2) it had an incorrectly engineered "chipmunk" Hallelujah track. She'll have another album, with originals, out in the spring. Others have pointed out how her views, likes & searches have risen. There are thousands & thousands of singers & other musicians who would LOVE to have Jackie's "failing" career & "ruined" voice! LOL!
