I don't like Jackie's photo on this forum! It makes her look like she's a chubby girl, which she isn't. If you compare the photo's on the Amazon Revisited forum and this forum, Jackie's cheeks on the Amazon Revisited forum look normal, but on this forum, they look like the girl should weigh 200 lbs. JMO!! How is this one? Just curious, what picture did you post earlier? I missed it.
I do like this one. As I have said before, most anyone close-up of a fairly recent picture is fine with me although some are better than others. I also like the one on the other forum.

ursus: Rick hadn't posted a new photo! I was referring to the photo that had been up for some time. Just now got around to commenting on it!!

The picture of Jackie from the Attesa video on the top of the page is wonderful; in fact, Jackie's expression at the end of the Attesa video, my favorite, was priceless.

Last night three of my fellow sophisticates and I, having nothing more to do on a Saturday night, used up an entire page of one thread beating each other up about a stupid spelling error. One of my dignified friends went into hiding briefly because he called a tough guy "sensitive" (the nerve) and later emerged to say "we were all acting like a bunch of second-graders". Mind you, he's one who gets a kick out of catching flies with his bare hands and ripping their wings off to watch them walk in circles. ha. Of course the one who innocently started the whole thing by correcting a spelling error on another thread wasn't even there, probably at home with a bowl of popcorn watching the brawl and cheering us on. This was all in fun, of course, making an otherwise boring Saturday evening a night of entertaining nonsense. Never the less, it brought me to presenting a proposal. Some of us old f_rts can't type fast enough to keep up with our wit, constantly in danger of being called on for spelling errors. Others even misspell while correcting someone else. It's a never-ending battle in the gotchya wars. I suggest that if someone notices a spelling error that might be embarrassing to the writer, a respectful notice be given in a PM so the writer has a chance to correct the "mistake" before it is quoted and becomes the topic of discussion among those infallible spelling critics who think they have faster, more accurate keyboards. Once a mistake has been quoted and highlighted, no doubt with friendly intent, the writer has no chance of saving face, even after making a correction in the original post. On second thought, he might be bombarded with PMs.

I suggest that when one sees a spelling error or typo, one just ignores it. If it's inadvertently obscene, the admins will take care of it. They'll let us know when they need a posse.

I agree, with the exception that in an instant such as when I omitted the "e" in Jacqueline in a recent post (I appreciate that the correction was suggested with good intention and in my interest), a pm notice would give one the opportunity to make a correction in the original writing and therefore avoiding it's being repeated in subsequent quoted posts. Or, a Quick Reply would be appropriate in that regard instead of quoting.

I sometimes have a hard time not correcting others' spelling and grammar errors, but I keep reminding myself that I can't spend an hour making sure whatever I post is 100% correct either. It is really not worth the trouble. The only exception was when Rick misspelled Evancho in the forum header, and he quickly fixed that. The posts, even by non-English speakers, are understandable. That is really what is important.

I suggest deleting the Guest Board. It's never been anything but a troll thread, anyway. It's not as if it costs anything to join here or requires any commitment. Other threads have been deleted which had content that was far less tedious and obnoxious. Why don't we put it up for a vote. Members only, of course.

Since then there have been 5 more pages added without a single post that I recall from a genuine new visitor. The Welcome Guest thread has effectively been rendered useless for it's intended purpose stated by its creator, jrchico....."a place for guests to reconnect with friends and post suggestions", not withstanding it was an implied invitation to fans and prospective members. However, the attic at least keeps the crazy aunt and her loony friends from invading the house. Add: Well, there may be one who sneaked in through the front door.

But we can't block non-members. Mostly, though, it provides a platform for those who have no interest in being members of a community of Jackie fans, which is the point of this place. I also suggested this once before. Rick seemed amenable at that time because it was being misused by those attacking him.

Well he sure showed you who's boss agog, looks like he turned tail and deleted his account. Bussy still here?
