This is one of my absolute favorite Jackie videos, can't count how many times I have watched it. I enjoy everything she does with the Tennors. I hope she does more with them in the future as they are a great match up. This is also a vivid example of why we are suffering through that agonizing part of Jackie's career that transitions the little girl depicted in this video, to the wholesome, mature female that we are following today. She came into the public eye as a ten year old; A sweet little girl, that some would opine, had the voice of an Angel, that through the next several years, produced an EP, several CD's and DVD's, that performed through PBS specials, private weddings and gigs for royalty and political figures, that appeared for charitable events and the very wealthy, that has performed at hundreds of venues across the U.S.; and all the while growing out of the child-like dimensions into a shapely, beautiful women that we see on the stage today. Lisa once said "We are starting over!". As her fans, what we have witnessed is a child star slowly fading into obscurity while managing her career as she progresses into adulthood. I predict the bumpy ride is almost over!! <tmui></tmui>
She won't be filling 50,000 seat arenas but she has the talent to make a living. Good for her.

As a child, she's had several audiences much larger than that. I don't put anything beyond possibility for Jackie as a mature performer. If she's happy and living comfortably, that's what really matters.
It will be interesting to see who she duets with in the years to come.

For those fans that are still having issues with that, move on and just look forward to all the things that Jackie is now working on.

I've lost count of how many times Jackie has performed The Prayer either as a solo or in duet in 7 years. This particular duet performance is the most dynamic, in my opinion. She has gained a power of maturity that makes it new again for me. And she still has those crystal clear high notes but with a fuller quality. I think she and Fernando are a good match vocally. Caroline Campbell's superb violin accompaniment and that of William Joseph on piano along with the excellent guitarists and drummer make this a very sophisticated presentation. I like that they sang the Italian lyrics.

Fortunately some of us are close enough to catch a concert or two a year, others not so much. Lack of activity certainly can hurt Jackie's fan base and one of the reasons I see for the lack luster concert attendance, although a few of the more recent seem to have had nearly full houses.

Not aware of what goes on in the music industry in that regard, how often is an artist expected to release an album or single? She announced she is working on a new one at present which will be her eighth. What kind of news should we be expecting besides that and concert announcements? Maybe she'll give a hint of what kind of songs she's working on when she's ready. Nearly full houses show she's gaining interest again.
Katherine Jenkins has released 12 albums from 2004 to present. I don't expect Jackie to be more prolific until she has established her niche.

I am hoping for much the same for this effort, get some social media buzz going, a few seek peeks to get the fans speculating, something to wet our appetites. She was seemed busy with other appearances outside of concerts. Italy, Southeast Asia, etc. Can never have enough social media, and traditional media exposure.

I expect she will inform us of her progress with the new album. I think we just can't enough of Jackie, and tend to get anxious wanting more from her than she's prepared to reveal. Particularly at this time of transitioning toward independence, I imagine she has a lot to consider including her music choices going forward.

1. Christopher Dallo..."The Prayer" (David Foster Competition) 2009
Jackie did not sing with Christopher Dallo at this event however she did sing an a capella duet with Cody Karey on the sofa backstage.
Jackie sang The Prayer with Christopher Dallo on December 19, 2011 in Atlantic City New Jersey. Remember this was the last concert on her first tour bus tour. Then after Christmas she went to Las Vegas and sang at Mandalay Bay with David Foster. She sang The Prayer there with Cody Karey. This was on December 29, 2011.
Jackie and Chris Dallo in Atlantic City.
