Interesting that the railroad tracks in the S&S video are in downtown Pittsburgh.

In an interview just posted on the web at 5:40 pm by CBS local KDKA Heather Abraham, Jackie stated that "after performing for the inauguration some people pulled out I guess and didn't let me have the songs for the album for political reasons" etc. That explains why some promised songs disappeared from the album.
She also said the relationship with the longtime boyfriend has ended.

That would not be allowed here.

Well, it seems Jackie has cast her vote: she feels that music and politics should be separate.

Yet she definitely expressed displeasure with North Carolina's stance on the bathroom issue and vowed to never hold a concert here.

I'm wondering if her song collaborators are no longer going to work with her. She may have a hard time in the future getting anyone there to work with her. Who knows, she might end up not going to NYU because of it.

History has never forgotten them for that.

Jackie is non-partisan. Feelings are strong with this election, perhaps the most in decades. She got caught up in the storm that is brewing. It's a shame that we will never hear the songs she worked on and collaborated with.

Yes, indeed. I find that the most disappointing thing I've heard since I've been on this forum. Can only imagine how she must feel.

We may feel slightly disappointed about songs being left out. But given the volatile political climate, I feel that it is the right thing to make the album as politically correct as possible.

It was my understanding when she had released the singles, All of the Stars, Coming Home II, Safe and Sound, Writings on the Wall and Apocalypse that they were all going to be on her next album. Maybe even Blank Space. It could be more songs she was co-writer on that the 'other' would not let her release them Maybe someday in the future when Jackie writes her life story there will be a chapter devoted to December 14th announcement that led to all the haters and new fans from appearance at Trump's Inauguration. In the long run I feel it was and will be very beneficial to her career. It is disappointing that her hometown gig on March 5th is not SRO! Maybe some big shot will buy all the tickets and give them away to fill the house.
