Sorry, I didn't see, that there is alraedy a thread about this concert at the end of Concerts created already on Jan 2nd, 2017. Admin's, what do you suggest. Shall I delete this newly created thread? No need. We can concatenate them. Edit: Done! We can just move all the posts, & the program automatically concatenates them, putting them in chronological order.

Having a little trouble extracting information. The DPAA apparently operates 3 or 4 venues. Where's Jackie? Where are the seating charts? What are the "pricing tiers"? A "Jackie Evancho" search at this site gave a zero result: daytonperformingarts.org/philharmonic
The DPAA consists of the Dayton Ballet, Dayton Opera, and the Dayton Philharmonic. With a couple of exceptions, season ticket holders can select specific performances among all three venues in packages of 4, 6, 8, 10, or 12 performances. To add to the confusion, the Dayton Philharmonic has several different series including the Masterworks (classical performances such as Mozart and Mahler), the Classical Connections (informal with discussion and performance of a specific classical piece), Chamber series (smaller more intimate venue with the concertmaster), family series (includes children always with a special Halloween performance), and the Superpops (centered around a name performer). Jackie is scheduled for next season (fall 2017 and spring 2018) as part of the Superpops series which is sponsored by the Kettering Health Network. Brochures were mailed this week on the Superpops series. I am not sure how wide a distribution since I am probably on their mailing list having attended performances in the past. I haven't seen an online copy as yet. The brochure is similar to the more general one posted on this site earlier. It has the same pictures of Jackie on the front and back as well as a short write-up inside listing Jackie as the vocalist and Neal Gittleman as the conductor. For some performances they have a guest conductor. If Neal is conducting, I would assume that the entire orchestra would be used. Performance is at the Shuster Center which is the larger venue. The other smaller venue that is used is the Victoria Theater. Since we are still in the 2016/2017 season, I doubt that online seating charts would be available yet.

Thanks, chuck, I figured details might be more accessible as the date gets nearer- I guess I was anxious to consider this when I heard: full non-pickup orchestra under its own conductor. One not to be missed if at all possible. The DPAA sounds like a great organization.

Three hundred eighty three dollars top tier ticket price according to Carolyn at chat. I better start my Go Fund Me page now.

Individual event tickets for the concert in Dayton, OH on April 27 and 28, 2018, are now on sale: daytonperformingarts.org/ticketsBTW, prices way lower than that; $79 for orchestra front center.

I clicked "Tickets" and it wouldn't connect. Maybe to do with my phone. I'll try from work PC in the a.m. I think I'll make this my annual trip east for 2018. A Friday/Saturday two-fer. I'll use just one vacation day and I have 8 or 9 months to save up for travel expenses. I haven't seen Jackie with a full orchestra since the first Carmel concert, three years ago, with John Mario.

This has probably to do with the browser you use. I use three different browsers constantly - Firefox, Chrome and MS Edge - because it always happens, that something doesn't work with one or two of the browsers. Videos don't work, Buttons don't work, part of the page is not shown, and so on. It is really frustrating. I didn't find a browser right now, where everything works. For your problem, the ticket Button works for me with MS Edge.

This morning I bought a ticket for each show - third row and fourth row, dead center. Good enough, and that might be the acoustic sweet spot. The full orchestra convinced me to take the plunge. FYI, if you choose the "Print at home" option for the tickets, you will not receive the second email with a PDF attachment until mid-July. I called them at lunch. The guy pronounced Jackie's name "ee-VAHN-ch'o"

This might be Jackie' s first concert as an adult, but it will also be my first concert as a "Senior".

Mike. what were the prices for those two prime seats? $79 Friday and $69 Saturday. Thanks for the fast answer Mike. Those prices are a lot better than the $383.00 I heard earlier. See you there.
