The latest is that Jackie will join Varela on WQED tonight live in the studio too. (edit): I assume it will be live because the facebook post above said Varela will be at the studio live. I don't know if it is before, during or after the PBS special. BTW I can't get the video to play. Don edited

Videos played for me - they're the same 30-sec spot for the show. Fernando's special to start in 5 min here!! [channel 9-2 here] Looks like we'll have multiple pledge breaks.

I noticed that Jackie's dresses were both cut just at the knees. The dress she wore for "A Thousand Years" seemed to have an Egyptian motif and the dress she wore for "The Prayer" seemed to have a Spanish motif.

Interesting that one of the commenters states that he is related to Caruso.

Fernando Varels's PBS special has not been shown in our local market. Was Jackie's Caruso included as part of Fernando's special?

I went to check the Dutch fan site to see if they had a copy of the lyrics for Caruso. They not only had the lyrics, they had a link to Jackie's Vevo site. jackie-evancho.dk/

"Te voglio bene assaie ma tanto bene sai". It's fun to read the lyrics while listening. Oh my god, I'm stunned. Jackie stops me dead in my tracks when she sings that. I've been a fan for years, listen to her music frequently, been to a number of concerts; yet, she keeps coming at me, to teach me another lesson, that I really didn't know how good she really is, that she's probably better than I can yet imagine.

The stage is the same where she sang the duets. And just let her sing for the video makes no sense. So I'm quite sure, it was part of the show.

I don't see any lyrics. Not on Internet Explorer or Chrome anyway.

Perhaps Fernando only wanted to include the songs he actually sang. IDK if they could have made it a duet. The lyrics are obviously challenging, so maybe he didn't have time to learn them (despite being fluent in Spanish; the languages are similar but just different enough to be confusing).

I wouldn't let her sing that on my show either.
