Audrey Hepburn crossed my mind today for some reason. I started reading her history on IMDB. Becoming curious about whether or not she ever sang, I found something that, to me, equals the quality and level of tear-jerkiness as Judy Garland in Wizard Of Oz singing Over the Rainbow. I would really love to hear Jackie take on this song.
Not only did it move me, but it seemed to have moved Henry Mancini, as he says, "Moon River' was written for her. No one else had ever understood it so completely. There have been more than a thousand versions of 'Moon River', but hers is unquestionably the greatest". Could Jackie have changed his mind?

I believe this link is to a song that best suits Jackie's vocals and if she were to do a cover as the lead singer, I believe she could do a super job of this number with the right tenor backup.

As long as we are looking a classic pop songs then Harry Nilsson is a pure gold mine.......imagine Jackie doing this as a cover.

I would love to hear Jackie's solo rendition of "Hallalujah".

One might question is it possible that a female can cover a signature of a prominent male singer......here are two examples of a female doing exactly that: I was around when Orbison recorded Crying. I didn't feel the song then, but as time passed, Crying became more beautiful. I always thought K D performed it well, too. But when I saw the movie, Mulholland Drive, the woman singing Llorando(Crying) became my second favorite singer of Crying, right behind Roy himself, of course. So here is Rebekah Del Rio on stage:

There are two songs I really would like Jackie to sing and record. Her voice would be perfect for them.

Jackie's music today often makes us shed tears whereas the music of the 70's made us get up and move. We have probably bought our fair share of Kleenex ......now is the time for Jackie to sing a 70's type melody .... an original would even be better if 70's sounding........I want to move to Jackie's music and set the Kleenex aside.

I want to move to Jackie's music and set the Kleenex aside. I know what you mean, gordie, but do you like to move to Reggae? Not original, of course. One Jackie song that I move to is Take Me There, that I enjoy on my daily cycling sprints.
