johnnyb Sorry, I pulled the wrong quote. I was trying to respond to this comment, not yours:
11 hours ago yellowstone2014 said: Jackie is now 2 months away from Social Media:
Facebook: Nov. 11, 2020 Twitter: Dec. 02, 2020 Instagram: Dec. 02, 2020
I slowly doubt, if she ever will appear on screen again

I had tried googling "Lisa Evancho Facebook" after Donkey's post and she didn't show up although other Lisa Evanchos did. I have seen her page before, but I don't have a link to it saved. m.facebook.com/lisa.evancho.7?ref=br_rsThanks. It does indeed require logging onto Facebook which I can't because I am not a member.

Thanks. It does indeed require logging onto Facebook which I can't because I am not a member. Yes and you wouldn't see much unless Lisa would add you as a friend. One of the prerequisites of her friending you was that you would not repost anything that she said on her page.

Here is the quote from Lisa in case anyone hasn't seen it:
A reply to a comment on Lisa's facebook page.
Lisa Evancho
"you are so right. What you don't get to see are some of the crazy cool, amazing songs she has already written, but her current management and the labels have always forced her into a box they feel is most profitable for them all the while ignoring the beautiful, soulful gifts inside her - always ignoring and never encouraging, nourishing or even validating these hidden gifts that would propel her to greater confidence and growth as a musician and artist. Like so many other young women in the world who havent yet realized their own unique value for the positive contributions they can make in life and are who still afraid to discover and embrace their own personal power to act as our future world leaders and change agents - young woman with immense potential to accomplish so many wonderful things for themselves and humanity, jackie needs to clean house, surround herself by people who hear HER, see HER and listen to HER. This is the only approach that can provide the right loving-type of encouragement and genuine validation capable of penetrating the fear and insecurity trap placed on her by a group of people and a system designed to dim the light, sap the strength and control the will of a pliable, niave, and impressionable young lady for their own financial gain without any thought as to what SHE will be left with after they have dried out her current fan base with no long-term plan to attract a new fan base that could sustain her career and future as an artist. All they care about is sapping every last cent from a proven and extremely loyal, yet elderly fan base willing to fork out their hard-earned cash on anything jackie - a fan base that gets smaller and smaller every year as they, unfortunately, literally die off. This approach makes no sense. Even parasites don't kill the host. So why, you ask, wouldn't her team and her labels over the years have a well thought out plan for our golden goose? Because today's labels lack the ingenuity and creativity as well as desire to develop an artist. Why spend the money for development when there are a multitude of budding young talents, unaware of their true worth and value, with prepackaged gimmicks that they are willing to give away to bottom-feeding, seedy labels and managers in a system that sells fake promises of fame, fortune, and success? Think a solid contractual agreement that legally locks them into investing "x amount of dollars" to properly market the album you just spent six months to year to conceptualizing, developing and producing with your own blood, sweat and tears will ensure your success? It COULD. But unless you are an A-lister with fat cash who can afford to hire high-priced lawyers that will hold them to the contract, it ain't gonna happen. The labels know this. They count on it. And until the artists and musicians who have already become A-listers during a time when how the industry operated was much different, a time when the industry DID invest in solid artist development plans, market analysis, fan base growth, radio play, etc., until they are willing to use their power and join together in solidarity with the next generation of young, promising, talented musicians and demand an end to the abuse and neglect labels dole out on they daily to young, optimistic, trusting new talent, their unchallenged power and unlimited greed will continue to make them wealthy all the while destroying the hopes and dreams of the young artists who were niave enough to trust them and shattering their lives in the process. These unchallenged, vile perpetrators will forever victimize new talent by making music streaming deals with the companies like Spotify, Google play and Pandora that earn them big money while the true talent, the artists with enough creativity, skill and vision to have already done the hard work of developing a product, gimmick and solid fan base give it away to them yet get mere pennies on the dollar. Until new artists realize that if the pipeline of gifted talent willing to hand over all their hard work for free to a system of insatiable, money-grubbing fiends were to dry up, the system would be forced to reinvent themselves by offering fair and equitable contracts that satisfy the needs of both parties. In order to survive, they would HAVE to change how they attract and retain new talent. Otherwise, we old timers will just have to fondly remember how nice it once was when there was an endless supply of amazing new music to satisfy our diverse tastes while listening to a disk that quietly plays, "The day the music died" in the background."

LOL Sure thing. She does have a bit of a flair for the dramatic there at the end, doesn't she? I find it a fascinating look at things from Lisa's perspective.

Couple reflections from this "drama queen" on Lisa's long and interesting Facebook tirade. 1. Jackie's biggest and long term handler, Sony Masterworks, did accept and produce 3 of Jackie's own "crazy cool" and "amazing" songs for her album, Two Hearts. The Haunting, Pedestal and Sane. Frankly, imho, none were listenable or artistically enduring. That whole album was my least favorite of all hers and I thought a turning point downward in her career. 2. Jackie's gift has led her into what has always been a very rough, predatory, money grubbing and nasty business where nice, naive, "demure" but gifted young men and women get chewed up in and spat out .. unless. I hope she never chooses "the unless". I think it's a big reason why Eva Cassidy chose to do it the way she did. 3. I'm watching a wonderful Canadian produced series on Netflix right now, Heartland, set and filmed in the beautiful foothill country west of Calgary. The soundtrack for it is also wonderful and by young male and female singer/songwriters you've never heard of nor their songs. But every one of them enhances the script, storyline and acting and are just plain great to listen to in this day and age when so many think " the music died". It didn't and it hasn't. Not there anyway. One of them is a young guy who's grotesquely crippled from a genetic disorder and sings and writes great stuff from a wheelchair. Justin Hines. 4.In any case, Jackie's career is stalled right now not for artistic reasons but solely because of the "pandemic" and the germaphobic, hypocondriatically insane lockdown imposed on us as never before for any reason in the entire history of this Republic. Too many of our citizens and leaders have fallen for and made a "Faucian" bargain.

Only thing I would say differently than you is that while her concert schedule is clearly stalled due to the pandemic, Jackie's career has been "stalled" for years, and it has really frustrated her.

A couple questions to maybe start some discussion about Lisa's analysis of why Jackie is not apparently going anywhere career wise. Can somebody enlighten me as to who her "current management" is that is apparently mis-managing her or steering her in the wrong direction or inhibiting or preventing her from publishing/promoting songs she's composed? Who's been the agent(s) or manager(s) or advisor(s) or mentor(s) that's steered her wrong? Given her bad advise? What role does JE Touring llc play in her career of which her dad is president? Who's her publicist that still to this day promotes her as an opera singer? Why hasn't Jackie gone Indie yet if she feels or more importantly knows she's in a trap; "forced into a box" according to Lisa? Who and/or what is it that Jackie needs to "clean" out if she's to escape and begin to thrive and move forward? Who/what would you suggest she replaces him/her or it with when or if she does escape "the box"? Who might truly "hear" and "listen" and "see" her to profoundly help her move to where she wants to get to. How would you, one of her fans, describe "the box" she's found herself in? How do you think she would describe it?

I might understand if her fight is with one of her labels, but who is Jackie's management team if it's not her parents?

I wonder if Jackie as a young and very talented singer has reached that point in her career that is confusing her about which direction to take professionally. As a singer, as many have put it and I'm sure told her to her face, she could sing the listings in a phone book and they'd sound like a beautiful aria from one of Pucini's operas. But she can also just as proficiently and profoundly sing classic or contemporary pop; jazz; theatre, both stage and screen; country; religious and lately ... a Joni Mitchell folk style song. If I had reached a crossroads as a 20 year old with that many sign posts, and had to chose one that was going to take me to not only where I wanted to go, but should go professionally depending on which one I picked ............ ?? To make it even more confusing, having fans and professional friends and businesses and family members shouting advice at me like I was a game show contestant to take this one or that. One of my brothers was an extremely talented track runner in high school. In the last race he ran for his school he attracted the attention of college recruiters from all over the Country because he shattered a long standing record in the event the very first time he ran it. He chose to accept a full ride scholarship to Notre Dame. But not long after, the track coach and one of his star runners from Michigan State came to our house and talked my brother into accepting a full ride to that school instead. I thought my dad was going to have a stroke over his kid's decision, even though that was his alma mater. I mean, it was Notre Dame for God's sake. But ND didn't have much of a track program that would support and help him grow to his full potential as an athlete. MSU did .. and he made the right decision. Professionally he was a college track coach and a successful one. Not long ago and many years after he graduated as a "world class track athlete" from MSU, he received an award as one of Michigan State's greatest athletes, as well as that of the Big Ten's ... which indeed he became ... because he made the right decision for and by himself when standing at that crossroads we all face in life at some point. The lyrics from one of Jackie's covers on her Debut album come to mind as to what she might be trying to deal with right now. A "dramatic" take on it? You bet. Life is that when lived fully. "There's only us There's only this Forget regret Or life is yours to miss No other path No other way No day but today I can't control My destiny I trust my soul My only goal is just to be There's only now There's only here Give in to love Or live in fear No other path No other way No day but today..."

Is she back? If so, this old favorite Johnny Cash/Ian & Sylvia classic comes to mind as appropriate for the occasion. 2 photos of Jackie at Melody Place posted this morning on Instagram by someone called jackie_evancho_fan_4.
