Willyiam, I am not adding the word pussy or puddy to the banned words list. In the context in which he used the word Cat was correct. In the photo I am grabbing my pussy, my pussy cat Brandie. It looks like I'm choking her, but really I'm not. I'm just holding her head still. You might think it is a sexual inuendo, and maybe it is, but that wasn't my first thought when I read it. Some words have multiple meanings like the word Dick. Frisco had a problem with this. That word was banned so his post said naughty word Cheney. We cant have that. If the words are used incorrectly we will deal with that when it happens, if it happens.

Hi. I finally figured out how to get back to this forum. We were able to travel to Tyler for the concert on Saturday night. I had two extra in my entourage to facilitate oxygen and wheelchair duties. We didn't order tickets online until Friday noonish. Our only option at that point was to buy one wheelchair accessible seat and 2 seats in another row. Less than 30 minutes later the Cowen Center called us to ask if we would like seats together. They put us in the last row, main floor where there are 2 seats that don't show on the seating map. Perfect....me beside them and the sound folks just to my right. Great customer service. I would like to say thanks to a fellow I bothered just when the doors were opened to go into the auditorium. I heard him talking and I just knew he was from this fan group. I tugged on his coattail and told him I was Mrs.Dobs. LOL He looked at me like I was crazy and he isn't wrong. He gave me a Jackie button pin anyway. Said he drove from Joplin Missouri I think it was. That's not all that far from us in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. Anyway, a huge thank you to him. Concert was amazing. We were in Dallas at the Myerson and then in Grand Prairie at the Verizon. She just keeps getting better. The electronic gadgetry got a little overwhelming on a couple of songs, especially WOTW and SAS...needs to be cut back for sure. Jackie herself...well there are no words. I began to sob the moment she began the first song, as I didn't think I would ever be well enough to go see her again. I am blessed for sure. Love the addition of Caruso. I expect she will continue to hone it. I love the parts of it she made her own. Hope it is on the new album.

Thanks to members for the concert reports. It's always great to be reminded about the magical Dallas concert at the Meyerson on 2011 Aug 31. We gave her standing O's on every song. She got so excited she jumped & spun around on stage. If it weren't for the late Trancas, I wouldn't have been able to go. Thanks again to him. Jackie actually posted the side-view AGT pic (on Instagram?), with her arms outstretched & Piers standing before the other judges, on 2015 Aug 10, her great grandpa's 100th birthday. She was proud of having made his name famous on that date, 7 years earlier!

That would be fine indeed. I posted there before I figured out what I had done before to get here. LOL

To avoid further speculation, and with best wishes for all concerned, I emailed the Cowan Center executive director about the phone call story told at the concert intro, to clarify for those who weren't there to hear how it was told, whether it was a joke. She kindly replied, and with permission and as a service to all, that the speculation, fun as it may have been, may now end, herewith the answer: Dear Richard- Thank you for writing and for asking me directly. I was joking, and it was tongue in cheek. Many people laughed out loud, but perhaps some wanted it to be true. I asked Jackie and her dad if they were fine with me joking about it, and they said they were fine with it. Perhaps I should have told the audience, "to be clear, I was joking!" It has caused others to ask. I really thought that saying Mr. Trump called me in the spring, last year, would have tipped everyone off that I had to be joking. Jackie's fans are so wonderful, and it was one of the best performances on our stage in the 20-year history. Thank you for caring so much about her and for taking care to learn that it was teasing. Wish you could have been here. She is unbelievably awesome! All the best, Susan

mrsdobs, I can say with near certainty that the man you met from Joplin was Jim Wood. He doesn't participate in forums like this but a lot of people know him because he goes to every concert. He's also one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. He was the first fan I ever met.

It was - I was standing nearby; I was curious about his current tally, so asked him and after thinking he said he believed it was now eighty-eight. As usual, he was in company with Jackbuckeye and Len, who had driven all the way from Virginia for the concert.

Thank you so much for the reply. Eighty-eight....as in concerts he has attended? Oh my goodness. I figured he was part of this group the way he was talking. Oops...no wonder he looked like a deer in the headlights. He said something about a loosely connected group of fans. And I took a pin/button from him. If you ever see him again, tell him how much it meant to me. He must have thought I was nuts. I even had a mask on to ward off any germs floating around. Bet he thought I was nuts. He would not be wrong. I have a question...Does anybody hear from William Philpot anymore? We met him at Grand Prairie...another really nice man indeed.

Second, I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed the sound situation it was very annoying to me. Thirdly I too love Caruso. It was one of Maestro Pavarotti's favorite songs to sing.

Jim is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. He has attended many concerts, but he is certainly not one to brag about how many he's been to. Because of his faithfulness, he is very well known among all of Jackieland. He just doesn't do much online. He probably is a part of this forum, but may not check it very often. I hung out with him & another fan on the day after the concert. I will see him next month in Florida, and I'll let him know how much it meant to you.

As noted, we were all planning to give Jackie a standing ovation when she walked out on stage, to acknowledge her performance at the inauguration. I was pleased that so many other people also joined in on the standing ovation. It is a bit of an awkward time for a standing ovation, so I wondered if anyone else would join in. Plenty of people did, that I could see up front. It didn't delay when Jackie started singing. She probably needed to keep in time with the computer. After the first song, Jackie mentioned that she was just in Washington DC, singing at the inauguration. That drew an immediate & loud cheer from the crowd, and many of us stood up once again. So we gave her 2 standing ovations at the beginning, to make sure that she knew that we fully supported her in that. Getting a standing ovation after just simply making that statement really surprised Jackie, and I have no doubt that she was really moved by that. In regards to the songs, Music of the Night just seems to somehow keep getting better & better, every time she sings it. I loved getting to hear her sing "Fix You" again. I was there for its debut in St Charles in October. It really is a great song, and I love how Jackie sings it. It seems appropriate that she sang it on this day, the same day that the Shibutani siblings won their 2nd straight national championship in ice dancing (their 1st one was skated to "Fix You" by Coldplay and was spectacular). "Caruso" was totally new to me, in every way. I have never heard it before, so to me, it's a Jackie original, and I loved it! The medley was as great as that first time that I heard it in St Charles. After the concert, a few of us had a chance to see & speak briefly with Rachel, Zach, & Mike. The kids were gathering up the candles on the stage, and Mike was over at the side, talking with someone. We got to exchange a few words with them, which was nice. Rachel's speaking voice sounds so much like Jackie's. Corrected my earlier setlist, accidently left out MOTN 1. Pure Imagination 2. Made to Dream 3. Memories 4. Music of the Night Marriage of Figaro (instrumental) 5. Fix You 6. The Impossible Dream (D'Oh moment, wrong introduction) 7. Wonderful World 8. Nessun Dorma 9. Caruso (amazing! and thanks to those here for the correct spelling) 10. Over the Rainbow Carmen (instrumental) 11. Medley: OMBC, Con Te Partiro, Think of Me, Somewhere, When you wish upon a star, The Prayer 12. Writings on the Wall 13. Safe & Sound 14. Lovers 15. The Lords Prayer (encore)
