Who else would she have been referring to saying "us sopranos" but Jackie and herself? I think the folks reading this get her meaning. Excerpt from American Songwriter/The craft of music: "Her new single, scheduled for release tomorrow, October 23, finds her offering a rich and riveting take on Joni Mitchell’s classic “River,” a song that’s perfect for her lilting soprano vocals and the purity and perfection she finds within her upper register." None of your arguments make sense. An analysis of a song and a statement by the American Songwriter, what the hell is that supposed to prove. As I wrote before, Jackie's tessitura, Jackie's timbre, Jackie's anatomy and Jackie's passagio all say that Jackie is a mezzo-soprano. That's all that counts. Oh, I never expect my arguments to make sense to you. Rather, I'm accustomed to your dismissiveness and ridicule. It's what makes sense to the readers that matters. If you've convinced them that "Jackie can only be described as a mezzo-soprano", so be it....not just that, but a "professionally trained" mezzo-soprano, as you assert in another thread.

Your arguments don't make sense to anyone. Which readers do you write about? I don't respect anyone who obviously writes nonsense. I haven't written anywhere about a "professionally trained" mezzo-soprano, that's exactly the kind of false statements you work with. I wrote "trained professional singer" and that's exactly what Jackie is.

I wrote "trained professional singer" and that's exactly what Jackie is. It is interesting how little is known about Jackie, seen TPOTO in the cinema at the age of 7, started singing lessons at the beginning of 8, aged 10, that means two years of singing lessons. Only before AGT. Then AGT with Yvie Burnett. A vocal coach for a 10 year old is like a singing teacher, that should be clear. Yvie Burnett was also on "O holy night". That's all training. Joan Lader is a singing teacher, Jackie was there more often, Jackie learned to use her voice properly there, that's training. It doesn't matter how long this training lasted, in the end Jackie is a trained professional singer. Yvie Burnett is a professional vocal coach and opera singer. Joan Lader is a professional vocal coach and voice therapist. Since you propose that Jackie has been "trained" by these professionals, one would conclude she has been professionally trained. jackie Evancho is a professional singer, as such she should be evaluated. If Jackie is considered a great vocal talent, then her voice type must be defined...Jackie is a vocal talent with mezzo-soprano voice Jackie is not just a "trained" professional singer in your estimation, because you propose that as such she must be defined a "mezzo-soprano". Having evaluated her as such, you cannot separate the two. Therefore, it must be concluded that she is a trained mezzo-soprano...furthermore, a "professionally trained mezzo-soprano" (my quote)

A toddler understands this.

Jackie cannot be described as a soprano. It's been shown that is not necessarily true. I wrote "trained professional singer" and that's exactly what Jackie is. Everyone knows Jackie is a "professional" singer which means singing is her career. However, Jackie would argue that she is "not trained really at all..." From the beginning to 0:46
