Jefan08... I commend your tenacity and investigative prowess. I don’t believe I could have expended the effort you have shown here, to uncover and detail the sad history of MsZ aka Cabbagejuice.. Its like reliving an ugly nightmare that you would rather forget. It seems that any young artist who is a prodigy in the musical world, is targeted by people unwilling to recognize their genius. Another young female example of this is the guitarist Tina S from France. Check out her You Tube video of Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata. Mind blowing..

It's been mentioned that Jackie has met contestants Bret Michaels and Tom Bergeron. Does anyone know if Sara Palin was at the 2017 inauguration and met Jackie there?

Kitty Is Hoping ‘The Masked Singer’ Will Help ‘Shake’ Her Childhood Persona
Published on July 7, 2020 By Team NewsLagoon
Jackie Evancho is crossing her fingers that when you see her unmasked as The Kitty on tonight’s episode of “The Masked Singer” that you finally look at her as an adult and not the 10-year-old singing sensation you were introduced to many years ago on “America’s Got Talent.” “I’m actually known for a more classical voice, so through the years I’ve discovered I have this pop voice as well,” Evancho told TheWrap. “And I thought that was a big advantage I had against the show, because no one has ever really heard my pop voice. So that was pretty much my approach when I want on the show, which was instead of using my classical voice, I’m just gonna go full out pop star and see if anyone can figure it out from that.” Evancho says that it was through that pop voice — and the mask — that she was trying to reinvent herself. “It is hard to shake that child prodigy persona that I have had my whole life, pretty much,” Evancho said. “Because I first got famous at 10 years old. So ‘The Masked Singer’ really gave me the option to start from scratch, literally and be completely anonymous and then completely transform who I am to the public, while all being anonymous to the public at the same time. And it’s gonna shock people when they see that I’m finally a real, adult artist and not just some little girl with a big voice.” The judges offered up many wrong guesses about Kitty’s identity, including Mary Kate or Ashley Olsen, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale and Lea Michele — but one of those in particular really made Evancho’s day. “The one that really stuck out to me was when the judges were thinking I was Vanessa Hudgens, because I was a big fan of hers ever since her ‘High School Musical’ days,” the singer told us. “And then I got to watch her grow into this real serious musician. And I really admired her work when she did ‘Grease.’ And so I thought that was the biggest compliment because she’s so talented and full of this strength and love for her career.”

There probably should be a thread just for YouTube comments on Jackie's videos. This one is from .

Anyone paying attention to music for the last 10 years should have recognized "Kitty" as Jackie Evancho...IMMEDIATELY. No one in the world has a voice that competes with Jackie. Plus her body language and the way she used her hands while singing was a sure fire dead giveaway.
So the "guesses" by the judges were silly. Let's see... the "guesses" were Vanessa Hudgens, the Olsens, Ashley Tisdale, Anna Kendrick, and Lea Michele. Amusing at best. Crazy at the worst.
Jackie did a Miranda Lambert song better than Miranda Lambert. A Marilyn Monroe song, "Diamonds Are A Girl's Best Friend" better than Christina Aguilera's version. An Amy Winehouse song better than Amy Winehouse. And the kicker...a CELINE DION song better than Celine Dion. No offense to the Olsens, Venessa, Tisdale, Kendrick and Lea Michele, but they are not even in the same ballpark with Jackie. That's no slight because NO ONE is in the same ballpark and that even includes Benedetta Caretta.
Once she did "It's All Coming Back To Me Now" better than Celine Dion, then that eliminated pretty much all the singers in the world other than Jackie Evancho. So you'll excuse me if I think the judges were just being silly...because there's NO WAY they could be so stupid as to "guess" like they did and mean it seriously. Had to be the reason Sharon Osbourne didn't guess...because she would have known from the first note in the first song. And, of course, Nick Cannon knew.
It was great to hear Jackie again. There is no singer like her. She's incredible. I hope to hear her again soon.
Oh...and her version of "Back to Black" was unreal. Amy Winehouse must have a huge smile on her about now!

Disagree...the judges, and most Americans, haven't heard from Jackie or her voice for many years. Her biggest fame was years ago in the several years following AGT 2010. Most people haven't heard from, about her, or seen her or heard her as an adult. One clue in to that was when she sang at Trump's inaugeration. The comment I heard most from people was, "Who the hell is Jackie Evancho?" LoL...she has a loyal, but relatively small fan base in this country. So its understandable that it wouldn't click with any of the judges that it was Jackie, the 10 year old "opera" singer AGT runner-up from 2010, especially when she wasn't singing anything in the genre she was known for 8-10 years ago. It might be obvious to Jackie fans who have followed her career since then, but again, that's a pretty small group of people.

I largely agree with the donkey here. Unfortunately, for Jackie, the rare talent that she possesses, is undervalued in today’s cookie cutter, auto tuned music scene. The emphasis has shifted from real talent to visual entertainment. It’s interesting to watch some of the younger generation, through reaction videos, being exposed to, say the Righteous Brother’s songs. They seem stunned by the fact that there is no electronic gimmicks or manipulation. In some cases lamenting the state of today’s musical landscape. The old expression “youth is wasted on the young” is a saying that I think helps account for Jackie’s dilemma in attracting a wider audience. Her uniqueness appeals to a segment of fans that appreciate talent over gymnastics. Serenity over noise. As we age, we grow to know the difference between quality versus quantity. Being classy in today’s pop scene may be an oxymoron. And Jackie is nothing, if not classy.

insert code here As one who never tires of hearing Jackie's Nella Fantasia or her O Mio Babbino Caro I nevertheless loved watching and listening to her perform pop songs as The Kitty. With Kitty she brilliantly combined her inimitable vocal qualities with "visual entertainment" at a level that should have won that competition. Whenever the faces of the audience or judges were panned, they were grooving with her from Dangerous Woman to Back to Black, songs I would never listen to unless having to endure them while pumping gas into my car. But I was thoroughly entertained by what she did and how she did it as were millions of others who had no idea who was turning them on, but fell in love watching and hearing her, nevertheless. So what will and can Jackie do with what is obviously a golden, maybe once in a lifetime opportunity. Is it possible she could blow it? Does she need a David Foster type to inspire, guide and manager a new career? Where will the music for it come from? What kind will it be? "Cookie cutter" pop; or something unique? Does she abandon her past; "wipe it clean" as she's stated, or build, maybe invent something on and from the solid foundation she's constructed over the past 10 years? The cultural lockdown and hiatus this Nation is currently suffering has to be very frustrating and delaying answers for her. Hopefully it's not fatal to the opportunity and her ability to answer them successfully.
